Hair Of The Dog came out when I was 16 (1976) and I listened to it a lot. This song reminds me of a girl I knew. I had asked her to go to a Firefall concert (small town Kansas, not much live music going on at the time) with me. She agreed to go but only if I could get us a bottle of Cherry Vodka. I did get the Vodka but she stood me up anyway. I enlisted in the US Army in 1980 and had forgotten all about her until a few years later when I was home on leave. I went to my sister's house and the whiskey drinkin woman was there. I blew her off but am still reminded of her every time I hear this song.
Hey wayne joined in 1979 and I wore the grooves out of this record, then bought the cassette tape and stretched it out and then bought the cd now I have it on my samsung phone to play where ever I am. Rock hall of fame better put these guys in, they deserve it more than ll drool j
In 76’ I myself was 16, long hair, jean jacket, pack of zig zags and a Oz. in the glove box and let the weekend begin! Probably crossed paths at one point or another🤣😂
'64 Fairlane 4 dr. 289, shag carpet 8 track player hanging on for dear life from the dash, wires everywhere, 2 Jensen's 20 oz magnets 6x9s laying in the backseat or back window, treble on full blast.. man those were the days !! ✌️
My first stereo came with a cassette player. It also came with cassettes of Nazareth, zztop, black Sabbath, and a general 83 hits album. Thanks dad, 🙏 rip, I love my father and I miss him.
We used to pile in this girls 67 Pontiac Bonneville and go to our favorite parking place late nights a bunch of us and make out for hours and hours and listen to this album on 8 track as well as Framptons Come Alive and we had so much fun. Early to mid 70s was such a great time. Fun memories
My friend had a Roadrunner and I had a , '64 Fairlane,... Full treble on that $25 8 track player, with 20 oz. Jensens.. full blast the red necks hated it.. hell we were full fledged hippies.. we had the ladies, MD 20/20 and some herb...
Did you like Steppenwolf! I certainly did and do. Today the younger ones ask me "Who's Sam? " ( I understand now he is no longer "Sam"; he is big brother or the long end of the government. Pretty clever....trying to be cool about this!

Раньше, в годы моей молодости , Назарет я просто не слушал, мне не нравилось рисунки на дисках, они немного мистикой увлекались, я их просто игнорировал, а сейчас обожаю.
Never got along with my dad very well.... not even close. We just never seen eye to eye once i got older. But..... ill be damned if i dont miss the shit out of him. Never even got to say goodbye because of covid. So.... today dad, ill listen to this and know youll be here with me listening too. Hug your parents people, every chance you get. Let go of anger! If you have children tell them you love them.... then show them every day. Stay strong out there!
First night I met my wife I bought her a shot of extra sharp ginger brandy. No reaction. 2nd shot, no reaction. 3rd shot, no reaction. Now, there's a girl for me! I asked her out right then and there. The rest is history.
Got into Hair Of The Dog, and joined up with all the others yelling, "Now you're messin with a son of a bitch". But here's the cool one. Me and a friend who was in my grade and who's mother owned a bar in town, went in to the bar after hours (with "moms key") for a steak and some beer. When we got in, my friends older brother had been there and had Hair Of The Dog on 8 Track 'repeat'. When we walked in "Whiskey Drinkin Woman" was playing loudly over the "Quadraphonic Stereo System" and......DAAAAMMNN!....I was hooked. I'm still trying to create that wall of sound with a computer video, but nothing comes close to that night.

My father would play this album to put me to sleep as a baby. The only way i would sleep was Nazareth and Ministry had to be playing.

Awesome tune
This sounds like something Lynyrd Skynyrd would have recorded with those lyrics and guitar riffs.
