I used your several years ago, and then I had to find it in my history on my favorites to so that I can redo it again. Nobody has the insights that you have when it comes to programming these things expeditiously and correctly

More than likely this will work on the EX models (with the sunroof, rear disc brakes if u dont have a badge) but not the LX or DX models.. Worth a shot tho. Thanks
Thanks for the video!! I just got 2 of these cheap from china and have a 2000 honda accord so this was perfect!!! It cost me 40 bucks cdn and had to wait a bit but well worth the money!!! The only fob i had was broken on the tiny solder joints that connect the battery to the circuit. So my alarm has gone off from friends pulling up the pass side lock and all i could do was fuck around for 30 mins trying to short(connect) it and press the right button while trying to do this. It was funny but i dont have to do that anymore woo hoo Happy New Year
This is exactly what you do if you have an aftermarket radio because the original way to pair is through the anti theft radio by holding some buttons and doing other stupid stuff. Perfect video too.
Just a comment here. I was about to order a key fob for my 2002 honda accord . First realized it takes a cr2025 lithium battery. Went to walmart . Got a 2 pack for $3. Put the battery in bingo. There are two slots for opening I used the one on the bottom., then ease out the circuit board and the battery will be there. Hope this helps some people.

calvin hammond every model with security light has keyless entry. Every lx and value package has keyless entry without the flashing alarm light to scare people because you didnt wanna spring for the ex model. Maybe find an ex. Non leather because its just simply better among 6th gens.

I am sad, I bought a keyfob and found out my Accord lacks keyless entry. I figured having a V6 and being decently equipped (Power driver seat, A/C, power locks/windows) that it would of had it. Oh well... Maybe I can see how hard it is to pull the necessary components from a JY to add it.
For the key, is it 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd ? To open the trunk: Tap the trunk button once quickly and let go, then hold it down and the button will open the Trunk immediately.
Will the old key fob still remain to unlock the car aswell or does it support only one pair? Also can I buy a nicer fob than the ugly stock one? i want to buy a key with the buttons built into it and program will that work?
+reepeez You must program all key fobs at once, you can program up to I think 4 or 8. I would recommend buying the fobs that I bought since they are a close resemblance to the original ones.
This doesn't work... I've tried 4 different guides for my 2002 accord, and can't get the key fob to work. I bought the right keys, and I have no idea why it's not working. Any ideas?
Navid Zohoury say no, I couldn't get this to work. I think it was something with the remote keys I got. Also, be sure your model of the car came with keyless entry from the factory, or else it won't work.
Did u guys ever figure it out? If you still haven't make sure after you hear the clunk noise that you hit the lock button 2x !!!! I ordered one that came with instructions but lost them and watched this video for a reminder, it wouldn't work until I did 2x hitting the lock button while the key was still in on position after the clunk noise for the last one, like this guy did in his video but didn't mention because he was doing multiple remotes so obviously he had hit lock twice once on each remote. If you only have 1 you still hit 2x then don't hit anything until you get out of car and shut your doors! Also car must be unlocked and all doors closed while programming. Very thankful for videos like this! The next day I found instructions of course!

Honda used to mix these up to stop people buying them cheap, it's done on chassis number AND vehicle type, you need the same part number G8D-????-? or it won't work. Honda won't tell you which part number number you need, so unless your old remote still has it's sticker, your going to need to be very lucky. I used to work for Omron, I spent a year or so looking at Honda parts as warranty returns, stripping them down and testing them. I had a universal remote test module that allowed all of these remotes to work with it, but in the cars this module is apparently locked to one or two types. Honda really tries to stop people bypassing it's dealerships for spare parts.
So.... No alarm, no key fob will work? Ive tried 2 different times to no avail. I've programmed 2 for other cars with no problem before. I can only think that either I didn't use the right key... Or my accord just doesn't have an alarm so no key fob will program. Is this correct?

Just one time for each time you turn the key to the run position. On the 4th time you will hear the door lock. Push the lock button on the fob one more time and remove the key from the ignition.

I did this and everything went to plan. 02 accord. Trunk button unlocks just fine. It tries to lock and unlock but doesn't actually work. Double lock sounds alarm. Any ideas?

When I go through the steps, using my master key, I can hear the lock mechanism in the door panel moving, but the door locks that you can grab with your fingers to pull up on don't move whatsoever. Do you have any suggestions? I've tried it about 5 different times now and no luck.
+Vickie you might need new Door Lock Actuators. Or they are not hooked up to the linkage. when you try this, try it with the doors with the defective actuators locked.
the horn does not stop to ring if I do not close the doors I try several times and you can not be the same controls but the key has a chip I think it's going to be the problem I do not know

1998-2002 Accords and Camrys were rock-solid cars. I'm driving a 1999 Camry and I'm gonna drive it til it can't be driven anymore.

You probably ain't doing it right or your key fob might need a new battery unless you have the wrong key fob.
After I do the steps on the last time you hit the lock button I hear a little click but nothing else happens and the buttons don't do anything

Yes, just make sure to push the lock button a couple of times once you enter the program mode for the key fob.
