The tourists are attracted by Milan's museums and art galleries that include some of the most important collections in the world, including major works by Leonardo da Vinci. The city is served by many luxury hotels and is the fifth-most starred in the world by Michelin Guide. Milan is also home to two of Europe's most successful football teams, A.C. Milan and F.C. Internazionale, and one of Europe's main basketball teams, Olimpia Milano. Milan will host the 2026 Winter Olympics together with Cortina d'Ampezzo.

@@yuchen3008 I don't need to compare cities..each has its unique atmosphere, vibes, culture, way of life, architecture, local costumes etc...I like Milan the way it is..so I like Paris, Madrid, Rome, Los Angeles, Istanbul, São Paulo, Mexico City etc etc etc...
Rome is too packed with tourist night and day.

@@joii8980 he is right. I live in Rione Monti and all the streets are full of holes, bad drivers and overall they’re maintained well; unlike much of the buildings in the city. Here in Italy, Rome is notorious for having really bad streets along with almost all of south Italy.

I have cousins and good friends living in Milan and I used to go there on business trips, but it's a city, it pains me to admit, I have never learned to love.
Try to have a leisure trip and not only business. Like you I'm a foreign businessman living in Milano for about 24 years. But still feeling in love on this city with bountiful histories and arts. Just try to explore it and I'm pretty sure you gonna love your business and leisure trip in Milano.

It looks way better at night it seems. I've been to Milan and couldn't believe what a sh!thole the place was. Dirty grubby city with not much going for it to be honest. In the tourist areas you HAVE TO keep an eye on all your possessions because there is pickpockets and theives everywhere. The whole of Italy is bad for this.

This place smells of Naphtaline
During the morning time, because thay have to discentfect the whole city for any viruses that the tourists could carry on. They're very particular with sanitaries awareness specially this period of viruses. Because of their healthy living habits, most of them live to be centenarians.
