What a fun card. I'm 75 - before dial phones. My grandma was the town telephone operator. Sat at the switch board & connected people to each other. All you had to do was pick up the receiver, she'd say "number please" and she'd plug into the correct place on the board. I only had to say " hi grandma, I want to talk to Linda' ( or whichever friend) and she'd plug it in. Even after dial phones came out, you still had to go through her for long distance. I love these old timey phones & I love this card. Very cool. Thanks :)

Prativa was rude to my grandmother so grandma would keep her line busy so she couldn't make calls. When she complained about it to my grandfather, he said he'd "sweet talk" my grandmother. After a while he ended up asking her out for tea. My grandmother agreed & they both described what they'd be wearing only grandma didn’t wear what she said she'd be wearing because she wanted to check him out before committing to having tea with him. 😂

Cathy - do we really have to tell you what a joy your live videos are? All of you stuff is great but the live ones are what everyone loves about you! It's like spending the afternoon with a friend.
Kristina’s color cube videos have been excellent. She is such a fantastic artist. I really want the cubes and the companion books. Kathy, your videos are always great.

You are such a joy ... we also have a landline ... used to have a rotary wall phone (my husband wishes we still do) ,,, don't you hate it if you happen to go to an flea market and find that the stuff you may still have is considered "antiques" ... when we watch something that may be in black and white, we don't notice until about an hour in (grew up with b&w) ... keep on smiling and forget the "you know whats" ... That is such a fun card! I love those shades of pink and the green and pink color scheme on the other card. If you can find Moonlight you need to watch it. I loved that show and was really upset when they cancelled it. I thought it was great. Glad to hear that Frankie's doing good. 😺
Oh man! I bought the color cube last summer & love it. I too have difficulty picking colors that go well together. It has made such a difference for me in my card making, inking, & water coloring/acrylic painting, home decor & even in putting outfits together. Get it!! Get it!! Get it!! What a cute card and do remember these rotary dial phones. We had a black one when I was small (think only color there was). This was a great card. Bought the Empress because of you. Sorry didn't think to do your link. Did use your link on my Waffle Flower Mat. Thanks for all you do.

I believe that the second cord might be the connector from the wall. It's been quite some time since I have been connected to a corded phone but remember well when it didn't reach far enough.
This is an absolutely adorable card. I had to go back and see I missed the numbers being stamped again, but I see they are all one piece. They are backwards and it is driving me 😜 . I don’t know why such a little thing is bothering me so much. The numbers on a rotary phone start with one and count counter clockwise and spin clockwise. Love the card though!
I'm watching the replay, very cute. Your warm water may be because the dial that regulates temp of water, comes pre set to warm in case a small child takes a shower he won't get burned. Now there should be a small button that you can push allowing you to go past warm.
Hahaha…drat, missed the live…It’s 6:30pm now but here I am. And oh my gosh, YES, I used a rotary phone for years (I’m 67). I wanted the pink princess slimline soooo bad when I was a teenager, but we only had the big black one…it did make a great weapon for sibling fights though….lol
