This is actually my favorite MMD of this song, like it represents what he's feeling so well and in general the song fits Romano to a fucking T.
I'm gonna go on a Romano rant now because he's my favorite character and has been for years: Tldr (Romano's life sucks and Spain makes it tolerable so brownie points to fucking Spain over there good job man)
Pretty much his entire existence he's been bullied by other countries, compared to his brother, and basically tossed around like an extra. Now in the current manga we discover from Hima-san that Romano and Italy weren't even ready to reunite they were just forced to by their bosses which put an even bigger strain on their relationship. So to this day the relationship he has with one of his only living family members is strained, we don't even know if Romano talks to Seborga or not. Everyone pretty much forgets this poor guy exists and instead focuses on Feli (Who I actually don't like in my opinion...sorry everyone :/). If he is being noticed it's only to call him "Italy's big brother" or some insult referring to his sour attitude. He doesn't even get to be called Italy when he represents half of it. He's just Romano. So like...this song is perfect for him because I wouldn't be surprised if S. Italy turned out to be severely depressed because I think he is. The one country we see give him actual attention is Spain. Whether you take that as gay attention or platonic that's up to you I can see either side of the spectrum tbh. Spain is literally the one who didn't throw him out when he effed up the first time when he cleaned. He kept him until Romano thought he was ready to be on his own. And even then he continued to stay in contact with him, Spain is the only country to really greet Romano and actually pay attention to him. He literally is the only friend he has pretty much...it's so sad. Ugh this poor baby.
I totally agree on that. He is my favorite, too. His life is sad, always in the shadow of his brother...My poor baby!!! T-T This song is perfect for him.
Maity B. I read that whole thing and damn you guessed exactly what I was thinking! Besides, the only reason why Romano doesn't like/trust germany is because he's worried about Italy (because of their history with Germania and the Holy roman empire) which makes him so much more cairing/interesting. Some people really need to look at Romano's character and story in full detail in order to feel sorry for him.

WinxElsa Exactly!!! I've never been in Romano's shoes sibling wise but I understand his fears when it comes to losing people and being alone and not being seen as strong. He is literally so much more than the 'dickish older brother'. He is a precious child and he needs love and affection and honestly he is the most interesting character in anything i've read and seen. It's been 5 years since I discovered Hetalia and i've moved on to different fandoms but I always come back to Romano~

I can really understand the whole video's concept and scenes. At the beginning part, the lyrics are 'Kimi no you na hitori naritai na' which translates to 'I want to a person who is just like you'. It means he wants to be like Veneziano/N.Italy, you know, his cheerfulness, friendliness, etc. Romano's world is black and white because he sees the world as a place where he's all alone, and nothing interesting ever happens to him. The scene where there are a few countries in front of him and Romano
I think it's meaning is that, he wants to be more like his brother so that people would like him more. He feels like an extra that no one really notices, unlike his brother whom everyone notices and loves.

I have 3 reasons why the 2P that best fits the mood of the song is Oliver Kirkland.
1: i think of him as the "black sheep" out of all the 2Ps seeing as that he always smiles, hates bad language, and is the only common fangirled 2P thst doesn't have an eye color like pink(unless in the mood), red, or purple, instead, his eyes are blue, like the sky, or the gemstone that fits his personality, Zircon(radioactive gemstone that has the same shade of blue as the sky)
2: a youtuber friend of mine named Tasmin Clark told me that he is abused by the other 2Ps due to his kind and helpful personality(which like me, hides insanity), he just wants the others to get along like a family, but can backfire, but one thing the 2Ps can agree on, is what they think of Oliver, so for being different, he is abused by the others
3: in the 2P games, you always make Oliver the good one,(i know he is good but he's like mmmrrrfff) either, you make Oliver the only good one or the ringleader
