"She's Unique in her own way and brings a lot of good things to the fight"
As someone who's stuck with Phantom since The Fixer came out and heard the community always calling her worthless or bad just because The Fixer was "better" (aka could see through smoke), and then had the whole think reignited by Runway's "OP" utility spam enabling ult, you have no idea how good it feels to hear a non-phantom main say that.
Runway's double primary is cool and all but you don't need it. You have the P12K and despite being a pistol, it's a MONSTER of a gun. Especially if you can hit headshots, which as a sniper you should be good at (or improving at). The only time I actually prefer Runway over Phantom is if I'm in a team setting and we are doing a holdout in TDM and need the extra Trip Mines and Ammo to not run dry.
I can understand why some would choose The Fixer over Phantom, with the whole see through smoke thing, but I personally like to just look forwards and snipe people and Sticky Sensors are a fantastic tool for covering my flank so I can just look forwards. Also if you don't have the skills to quick scope at close range, or are just having an off day, Crackshot and Shredder Rounds means that you very much can beat legendary armor with just your pistol.
My personal priorities as Phantom are the LR15 Fullbody, Stalker, LR15 Fullbody's Epic (Purple) upgrade, Sticky Sensor, and then it's based on how the match is going. Are Trench or Anvil flanking? Time for Shredder+Crackshot. Are there to many flank routes? Time to upgrade stickies to cover more of them more often. Are the enemies team shooting me? Life Drain helps me manage multiple people. People playing to passively? Blow them up with Grenades.
And for anyone who wants to get into sniping, Phantom is a good Rogue to do it with. Focus mostly on crosshair placement. If there is downtime, imagine someone jumps you from an angle and place your sniper on the same horizontal plane your think their head will be at. Your Sticky Sensors will help with this as seeing people who are above or below you though walls will let you place your sighs exactly where they need to be and you can try to focus on putting them back there when your in the situation again.
Also use the LR15 Fullbody, I don't care if you have the Tyr mastered, The LR15 Fullbody's slower fire rate will make you learn to hit your shots, and when you do the extra ammo means you can actually snipe instead of running dry in 10 seconds. I firmly believe that the Tyr is a crutch and should be dismissed as a sniper.

You know when I do these my goal is to try to give my thoughts from a non bias standpoint. Even if I'm not necessarily good with a character I can still recognize their strengths and weaknesses.
That P12K is a monster, I've slept on it for some time! I've got no issues with your upgrade/perk prioritizations I think that's another thing that makes her unique is depending on your playstyle, the situation, and the rogues on the other team she has the ability and kit to make the proper adjustments

Well if Talon is going to be the next one, and we have recent Fixer, ViVi, and Phantom guides, that means we have 2 snipers, an Enchantress, and a Motion Sensor/Fisher (depending on how you play Talon, so let's see how your views on the Berserker type Rouge has evolved with Chaac unless someone new to the game has a personal request. Idk I'm just trying to diversify the playstyles being showcased by the series by recommending one not recently covered.

Most definitley homie! I like the idea of some diversity as we run through all the rogues! Who you thinking should be next?! Also I haven't played Talon in forever so I too am curious on what I'm going say LOL

What do you mean Sniper, Enchantress and Motion Sensor/Fisher?
The roles are Intel, Duelist, Support, Defender, and Breacher. Why are you making up your own terms?

    • @Blossoming_Fate
      @Blossoming_Fate 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@shinxcultmember4032 The game's Roles serve as a nice baseline of how to play but that doesn't necessarily mean all that much.
The best example of this is Glimpse and Phantom are both in the Intel category but most Phantoms are snipers who play nothing like a Glimpse, while Glimpse really doesn't have and way to reveal enemies for her team as her passive is entirely selfish and relies on Coms where a Phantom gets Stickies that her entire team can use.
Another example would be Runway vs Vivi. Both are Supports but Runway likes to hang back and Snipe while a Vivi is leading the charge with a Duelist or Breacher at her side. Same in-game classification yet totally different playstyles. This is why I give them different labels than you find in-game.
Sniper is pretty obvious. They use the threat of a one shot kill to control lanes and anchors their team. Snipers are defined by their access to a sniper as a primary weapon.
Enchanters/Enchantresses are Rogues who provide buffs to their teammates to assist in combat. ViVi's overhealth and speed boost are examples of this.
A Motion Sensor would be someone who persistently detects people in a designated area. Talon's Radar Dart lets him do this though other softer examples would be Seeker and Phantom do to their Sticky Sensors.
A Fisher would refer to someone who rapidly scans a bunch of areas looking for enemies. Do to Talon's Mag Gloves he has the option to play this style in addition to a Motion Sensor style.
Berserker refers to Rogues who just brute force their way through enemies head on. They are defined by their ability to close the distance and sustain both their Health and Ammo throughout a fight consisting of multiple enemies. Chaac and Switchblade are good examples of this as they both have instant reloads and life Drain to stay in a fight, as well as Chaac has his overheal while switchblade has her speed boost from using a gadget/ability to help close a distance.

Dahlia + Phantom is evil. Dahlia gets Bounce Back and when Paired with Phantom's Grievous Wounds Passive to delay health regen she has a major advantage in any poke fight. Also since most Phantoms are Snipers they're often in a good spot to get revived assuming no flanks (which Phantom can spot out with Sticky Sensors and Dahlia can play Guard Dog with a DMR). The other option is for Phantom to just do her own thing while Dahlia pushes forwards with an SMG and makes sure that any downs Phantom gets can't be revived. Saint can also play as Guard Dog while still helping the fight with ARs and DMRs though since Saint isn't limited in revive range or revive targets like Dahlia is he can play more up front easier and help make room for the Phantom to snipe and Drone her if she needs it.
If Supports aren't your style how ever, Trench can Trip Mine off the flanks making it hard er to get to the Phantom thus giving her more breathing room to snipe. He can also place an APS near the Phantom to protect her from any Dima Ults or the like the enemy might try to use on her if their flanks aren't working.
Aside from that its just teammates that utilize their Phantom's pressure and give her room to exert it. That could mean a Switchblade rushes when she sees Phantom get a down in the kill feed so the enemies can't stabilize, or an Anvil barricading off a Zip line so Phantom has one less flank to worry about, or a Chaac just always in the fray so there's no time for the enemies to deal with Phantom.
When it comes to AR Phantom though, She's supposed to enable her team with stickies and conceal advances with nano smoke so anyone who can capitalize on that is good, from Gl1tch throwing a flashbang, to Dima ulting people off their cover, anyone who can make good use off the intel is great.
