Best advice is to rent for a month or two in different cities to get the feel of them..if that can work for you. I've lived in the Midwest, California and now Texas. Each place has its good points, bad points and just things you would deal with anywhere. Each area of the country is special and has its own feel to them that don't show up on travel guides or short travel videos. That being said a neighbor of a good friend of ours moved here to Austin after just coming here to visit. Went home sold all their stuff and just moved knowing nothing about the city other than they loved it. 10 years later they still love it.
I'm very much in the same boat. A few years ago, I went to Spain for my sixth visit. I live in Arizona, and I always love going to northern Spain, particularly Asturias and Galicia. Their northwest is very similar to our northwest, climate wise. Anyhow, I had recently sold my house and was in between houses in an apartment when I went on the trip, and the whole time I was there, I just kept thinking how nice it would be to own a little "albergue" or hostel, and I actually found one that was in a good sized town called Ponferrada that was on the market. So when I got home, I filled out the paperwork to get a N.I.E. (numero de identidad extranjero); which would allow me more freedom in Spain, flew to Los Angeles and met with the consulate, and a month later I had my N.I.E., then I opened and funded a Spanish bank account, just a few thousand Euro to start, while I contemplated... but after a few more days of considering it, I had lunch with my parents and my sister and realized I couldn't. My folks are getting older, and it would take a full day of travel, (train to madrid, plane to phoenix) before I could get home if my family needed me, and I just couldn't pull the trigger. I've still considered buying an apartment though and eventually retiring out there. We shall see.
I left my honest opinion for Adam in his video. And the same applies to you two. Research like crazy. The US will probably never be totally home but the pluses may outweigh that. Come to visit several times during all the seasons. The weather can be a deal breaker.
@@jishani1 you need to have a valuable skill and preferably a college education and already have a job lined up for your arrival. companies will get you special visas to let you live here if you can prove your value to them for the duration of the naturalization process.
No, it wouldn't. Anytime is a good time. Quit being such a Debbie downer. 🙄 Hell, even Joe Biden looked ecstatic giving his speech earlier today. I bet both him and Jill voted not for Harris. Jill even wore red to the polls. 😉😂
Unfortunately this individual is the product of almost 10 years of media brainwashing and propaganda. Actually, we had the strongest economy under the so called fascist! There were no wars were under the so called fascist; he brokered peace in the middle east (Abraham Accords). The so called fascist was nominated 2 times for the noble peace price. Look it up. America was not being invaded by other countries criminal entities and 325K migrant children weren't missing. 4 years ago America was energy independent, housing prices were 50% less, gas was 50% less, food was substantially less and wages were not down, they were up. African American unemployment was the lowest in decades. Americans are tired of the current administrations and see them for what they are a " death cult" with their high inflation, never ending wars, abortion, turn teens trans so they won't have children (depopulate the world), illegal immigrant low wage (slave labor), America last agenda. Apologies for the long rant. Love the channel, you two are absolutely lovely. After the new administration kicks in it will absolutely be the better time to visit the U.S.
@AliKaiProject I dearly hope so, but the things being done already and the things to come are going to have long-lasting effects. Generations long set back in progress.
Same comments apply to y'all. America would love to have you here!
Of course guys we would love to hear yall stories!
I love Adam Couser.. Very funny Northern Irish Guy. I have subscribed to his channel for about 4 years now.

That does worry us a bit. 😀
plus it's a good bit more involved to move over here than just "I wanna live there, lets go!"
It helps quite a bit to expedite the process if you're already gainfully employed.

Poor guy. He wants to move here so bad. I understand why he can't though. My grandparents were everything to me and it's not fair to them or the kids.
I mailed you two a package today. We'll see how long it takes to get there...
Oh cool! Thank you in advance. We’ll let you know when it arrives. 😊
@@AliKaiProject 👍
@@AliKaiProject Has it arrived yet? If not I'll contact the Postal Service on Monday.
if you value your safety and sanity, stay away from the states. Also I hope he has a very well paying job to afford even the most basic living costs.
It would be a bad time to move here. Having just elected a fascist.
You shouldnt admit to the world how brainwashed you are by media. Do you even know what a facist is?
Leaders come and go, rarely do any of them leave a positive impact. UK is a mess right now, things can only get better right? 😅
