To be fair the pros do things you probably shouldn't do either. I've seen many games of Viper past where he'd castle and UU for fun, and still win, and the noobs take it as gospel.

1mil IQ strat, really: B.M. T90 after winning a game, so that he doesn't make a video on you, so that your strat remains secret before an important qualifier.
Ghulams sound like monsters in the vein of orcs, trolls, ghouls, goblins and golems
The pronunciation is a little different its : gu-laam (means something like servant/slave as far as I know)
Red needed a slightly faster castle time and a monastery. If he can get monks out while they are breaking the wall he is safe.

Not sure what's new here. One tried a tower rush (that failed), the other went fast castle. Both strats were known over 20 years ago.

These kind of YouPudding FC strategies die to fast feudal archers or their own slightly later FC strat. Once you get a defensive castle up between your wood and main gold, it completely neutralises the all-in player and you'll be way ahead in eco.

tbh I kinda hope this disrupts the dark age meta of pushing in all the dear. Red could have scouted the early stone and towerd it immediately in feudal. If you're going fast feudal you should be scouting and planning the damage instead of just going muscle memory scout rush

Scouting isn't needed in this Arabia version, fixed TC locations, fixed res location, (relatively to original Arabia) that's the root cause of everything bad with our meta.
As long as map remain the same nothing will truly change.

@@simonesgheiz3039 well the current Arabia meta is scout rush. There are many reasons that lead to this: people got better with micro to a point where 3 scouts can consistently kill vills, it's easier to transition to castle age because you make farms, scouts are also much faster to enemy base than archers, xbow was made expensive. Which is why even Britons, an archer civ, opens with scouts.
To make scout rush more powerful, you push in deer to have more food. And since you assume enemy is doing the meta thing - a scout rush - you don't feel like you need to scout their strat and adapt.
So basically on high level arabia, 80% of the games are scout rush vs scout rush which makes the pro players a bit lazy in their scouting and adapting and is also the reason why whacky strats like this one can take even top players completely off guard

Knew it was gonna be a loss when I saw Hellequinn push the wrong deer from the corner of the map like a noob. I guess the tournament jitters got to him. Even players at the top level don't play consistently well.

Start Date: 2024-06-29. Still I am watching this vid (4 days old) on the 2024-06-28. Wat?
Someone tried this against me at 1600 elo and I went extended feudal with scouts upgrades and was able to pick off the ghulams before they got to a mass. It still got scary when I did eventually get to castle age since ghulams actually do surprisingly well against cav but doesn’t extended feudal age just win most of the time against this? Especially since then solana can’t get that forward siege.

this guy just panicked and messed up. i've played against 1400s who walled much better than this, with the same strat. the downside of it becoming popular is making stonewalls meta on arabia...

Scout it early. Then probably deny the castle. I guess with Archers?
Yeah I think scouting it is the key then commit to full feudal pressure or try to match his fast castle
assuming the castle is already up, better walling and then full knights might have worked although with britons they might have to think about something else afterwards

So the guy saw him mine stone with 5 villagers before he even got feudal and only thought of a tower when he was going castle already? Just go make a tower as soon as you get feudal ffs!
T90 commented on this in the vid. He waited to tower until he had an army to snipe vills escaping
@@incogneeto2418 I mean the goal of the tower is to deny him of the stone. By the time he got it up he already had the stone he needed. The scouts didn't do much damage either.
If red saw that his opponent was rushing castle age to spam their UU, why didn't red prepare a counter for the ghulams? He just built a bunch of house walls and stone walls, but with no military or defensive buildings to kill them they slowly broke through the walls where red only had a few scouts.
I know ghulams are strong against archery units but couldn't red have done something like build several towers with overlapping coverage along with the TC? It wouldn't stop the eventual scorpions but it would let him keep his food eco going at the very least and he could use that food for more scouts/light cav to defend or raid blue's base or something.

Why, the hell, red didn't rush with archers? he could easly stop entire blue eco and prevent castle
No wood/gold eco. He had invested everything in food eco for the scout rush. He spent additional wood on a 2nd mill for the hunt. He didn't even have an archery range which would have cost additional wood.
If this strat was easy to stop, he wouldn't be in a tourney winning sets with it. Calm down your 800 elo takes
@@incogneeto2418 Bruh this is easy to stop, hence why not seen in major tournaments. Any strat will work against average levels with overconfidence. The guy saw the stone miners and only decided to make a tower when the guy already had the stone. Make it 5 minutes earlier and that's about it.

@@Irydion he started making more vills later. Hindustanis may be good, as ghulam and their vills are less food intensive. So you can slowly build more eco.
