The light trick is great, I am sure I will be using it. The fastest way will still be looking at the backs, you instantly find like 99% of the fakes.
The light test is my go to test! If you are an experienced player or collector fakes usually stick out like a sore thumb, but they are really getting better and better, and it is easy to get taken if you aren't paying attention. Actually you got me curious...so I just got done looking at some base cards here (printed by Wizards not the Pokemon company). I compared them to current Pokemon cards (printed by the Pokemon company) and to the fake cards that I have. It turns out that all the information from Part 1 and Part 2 of my "How to spot fake Pokemon cards" is consistent. Especially the light test and the black line on the edge of the card test are definitely good ways to determine the authenticity of your Pokemon cards.
