Point taken. So it's pretty straight forward there are to input types 2 l-r banana type and 1 3.5 mm stereo jack. Just connect it to your output of your device and you're all set. really nothing to it.
Can you add instructions on how to remove the battery cover? Mine will only release on one side of the cover. Don't want to force and risk breaking. Thank you.
If your TV output from the stereo jack even when the volume is completely down, then sure why not. All this does is take the audio from and output and transmit it to the headphone.
It's not a how to video but a review. The device takes an analog stereo audio and transmits it to the headphones. It's independent from the source. So you can connect it to whatever.
very informative but when it cam to the back of the station you did not show where the stero wires go or the banana jacks go can you please tell me where the jacks go ?
ok thank you, another 2 questions can i take these headphone with me on the bus or driving 2 hours away while listening to music ? also if my phone rings can i answer the the call and talk through these headphones ?
Recently bought the Sony wireless headphones, but the problem is it is not working with my Acer TV. I bought the splitting adapter separately hoping it will work but NO. The Service Tech people told me it works with the iphone and Android phones but you have to make some settings in the TV to make it work but there are no options. In your video you mentioned the stereo jack, will it work, please let me know..
I have the sister model to these that uses the same "battery pack" and it is done like that for the induction charging. All it is is 2 NiMH 1.5v AAA batteries and the higher the mAH you can put in the better. To change it: 1) peel off the tape label and chuck it. 2) the black plastic frame is in 2 pieces and just pull them apart. 3) take out old batteries and put in new ones and replace the frame 4) push the frame back in and they will lock in place.
My base only has green light when I unplug then plug in power, then when I rest headset on the base green light goes out and red light doesn't come on. any ideas would be nice, new battery pack. ??
This will take regular rechargeable batteries... Might need to scrape some plastic... I wouldn't overpay for a pack. Rewatch the video I think I talked about it.
Its been a while since I used this headset and looks like I may have lost one of the cables. However, I have the red and white cables plugged into the holder; however, my question is where do I plug it in to in the back of my TV.... Also can you tell me what the cable that would be the alternative connection looks like? Thanks
How do you know when it's charged? I have them and unless I plug it into the socket for the first time when they're not on the charger it's not lit green anymore there's no light. When it's charging I don't know when they're done charging and also is it good when they're done charging to leave them on the charger or should I take it off.
+Tyler Campbell there's no indicator when it's charged. The point of these is the battery never dies on you, I've used it for hours and then just plop it to charge and never worried about it. btw I was able to change the rechargeable batteries, you have to use the cradle that the original came in otherwise it won't charge. it must be pressing some switch to tell it it's rechargeable.
RF970R headphone volume keeps fading from low to high after about one hour of use. I have never changed batteries since new (4 years ago). Do I need to replace batteries or is the unit completely shot?
+Linda Cody try replacing the batteries.... It's actually easy to reuse the plastic shell of the original batteries to put new 2 AAA batteries (rechargable of course)
aah I just went to my store, found out that you need a 10$ adapter to connect it to your computer. Thanks for the replies anyways, I got the Sony MDR-MA100 instead.
I own this. I bought 3A batteries and inserted them into their housing ! I dont like its range however. I want at least 25 more feet of range so I can go into the backyard and hear my youtube music.
absolutly for pc. put that jack plug in to the green pc sound port and then he ask if you want use it as headphone you have only to click ok then and it works
Is there a way to use it without the transmitter?can anyone give me an idea how to use it ☹️☹️☹️ i dont have the transmitter of it i just accidentaly buy it at a surplus store. I have Sony MDR RF7100
AAA batteries fit and work fine. But I haven't used the base to charge my enloop rechargeable batteries. I assume the proprietary appearance of the pack is to prevent people from using non-rechargeable batteries and stupidly resting the headset in the base, damaging their alkaline batteries.
I was given a set of these headphones. The batteries look like AAA rechargeable. I believe the batteries that came with it are dead so I put in 2 AAA rechargeable cells. Will that work? Also I plugged a 3 conductor from my cell phone to the headset base and am only getting only audio in the right side. Do I need a cord that has 4 connectors on each end? Thanks for reading this......
I put 2 new rechargeable AAA batteries in the headset without first installing them in the plastic holder. They seem to fit just right. Any problem you have found with that?
When I plugged it into my cell phone I only got sound from the right speaker. I don't know if I need one of those 4 pin plugs. I thought the regular 2 pin plug would work. I am going to plug it into my computer and see if that makes any difference.
you don't. this is for wired connection to stationary devices. (I suppose you could use the cable to a 3.5mm 0hone jack but then you kinda are losing the point...)
You maybe have to educate yourself about the batteries placed inside of these headphones. They are rechargable, meaning that they are not supposed to be replaced. If you need to recharge them, just put the headset on it's stand. I've had the headphones for about 6 years, everything worked perfectly, except the already mentioned plastic creeking. Yesterday one of the heads broke off and well, it's kind of hard to repair that I geuss.
I Have A Sony MDR-RF970R Headphones Bluetooth Wireless. The left side sound quit working. anybody know what i could do to get the sound back? Is this an easy fix? Is it possible that the rechargeable battery could cause this? right side works fine but left side quit.....
I got a pair of these for 3 dollars and thought they didnt work ....untill i put them on the earmuffs are moltin so to speak ...but theres like radio static the whole time lol
Noah S Just used my DIY 8AA ALKALINE BATTERY CASE (12V) to that transmitter, for headphones, I took off the charging coil and cover 2 AAA with plastic piece so it won’t accidentally turn on instantly after use,
Only negative parts about these headphones are plastic creaking and lack of a microphone. What's the point of it being wireless more than 1-2m if I can't keep talking to my mates on Skype? So, not for me. Hate to say it, but the only ones who moderately fit what I want are the Razer Man O' War

Good product overall. Too bad Sony stopped making it, but you can still get it.
One of the best videos, about these headphones, I could find. Regards from Switzerland

Exactly, you should've reviewed how it connects to such devices. I never asked "How to", only if it had difficulties or connected well.
Good to know! I was wondering if it was possible, but I didn't want to tinker with it before I needed to. Thanks for the post!
can you connect it correctly to the phone or does it need the base?
Can you add instructions on how to remove the battery cover? Mine will only release on one side of the cover. Don't want to force and risk breaking. Thank you.
Can the headphones connect to android phones without the cord?

your channel is way underated I wish I could help you out I really do but its hard to get noticed I hope your channel grows larger.Cheers!

Are these better or worse than the Sony MDRRF985RK Wireless RF model or it more of whichever model you like best?
It's not a how to video but a review. The device takes an analog stereo audio and transmits it to the headphones. It's independent from the source. So you can connect it to whatever.
The banana jacks he refers to are actually RCA phono connectors.
very informative but when it cam to the back of the station you did not show where the stero wires go or the banana jacks go can you please tell me where the jacks go ?
They go to the output of whatever device you want to transmit.
ok thank you, another 2 questions can i take these headphone with me on the bus or driving 2 hours away while listening to music ? also if my phone rings can i answer the the call and talk through these headphones ?
@@sulaimanlove252 No this is for stationary items. You should get a Bluetooth headset if you want it for your phone.

Alright I'll check that out thank you for the advise.
@3:50 proprietary battery can be replaced with two standard AAAs
+el vejete can confirm it works, but only if you carefully remove the batteries and reuse the shell.
el vejete I disconnected that plastic part and used for 2 AAA wireless phone charger.
Can you plug it into your PS3 like a personal stereo?
You should have shown how it connects to the computer & such.
so how is the sound quality ??? and volume and bass
Great review. Thanks!
Does this product support bluetooth???
those by the way are RCA jacks not banana jacks, they are much different

It depends what output you have on your TV. The good news that there are 2 input options on the base.
Was about to buy but never did got the zx500
yes i watched video but i dont understand lot, Thanks alot

does the charger transmit to the headphones or are they blue tooth?
The base is the antenna. No bluetooth.

Nexus7171 YES.
You don't have a 3.5mm output on your computer? That's strange.

Davor Kirbiš Yes obviously i meant when the rechargeable batteries go bad. But as it turns out you can put AAA inside that tray.
I was hoping to see how you removed the battery cover.....
If I recall there's a button and the thing just pops.
Charger (cradle) is the transmitter (900mhz band). These are not Bluetooth headphones.
NP. You need a bluetooth headphones to be able to wireless connect to your phone. If your phone is capable of BT4 get a BT4 headphones.
My guess is that it should... should is key :-p
cant you cut that strip off that battery pack, and start using your own?
ok perfect thanks, i saw somewhere else they were bluetooth but that seemed illogical.
