During our visit to Las Vegas, had an oppotunity to explore Hoover Dam an engineering marvel. I took some pictures and compiles them as a picture vlog. Please enjoy.
The Hoover Dam, located on the border between Nevada and Arizona, is a massive concrete structure built during the Great Depression and completed in 1936. It was constructed to control flooding, provide irrigation water, and generate hydroelectric power from the Colorado River. The dam stands at 726 feet high and stretches 1,244 feet across, creating Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the U.S. by volume. Hoover Dam is a major tourist attraction, admired for its engineering significance and Art Deco design, and continues to be a vital source of water and energy for the southwestern United States.
