- Join me as I ride my friend's huge horse out on a hack to the woods. He got super excited and we had loads of fun! He did get a little too excited towards the end tho and decided to ignore me multiple times when I asked to slow down. I still love him though. I hope you enjoy this view from behind the ears :))

Good to know i’m not the only one talking to my horse like this. Imagine all the “normal” people in the woods. And then we come here with our big dogs galloping thru the forest and yelling “HOOOooooooo” “Good boy”

Yeah hahah, this guy recently got a new saddle, so no squeaks unfortunately. But with Cajou the squeak is just part of the experience ;))

I go galloping in the forest and bush and it's crazy, I go with all my friends and we even go off the sand/dirt gallop tracks and chase wild cows with our cattle dogs. It's the dream!

Nice to watch: one important thing from horse whisperer:horses do not like slapping at all with "good boy" nor "s.o.b", they like strokes, big long ones - they can take the slapping/padding hard but they definitely do not enjoy it at all, they hate it.
Yes not every horse will like pats but most actually like it and take it as a sign of their owner being happy with them :)
some horses are different :)
How do you get such a smooth video with no movement - do you just keep your head and body super still or is there a camera setting?
With a horse as big as him, who practically yeets you out the saddle when trotting, it's almost impossible to stay this still, even though I really try. But it's mostly the stabilization on the camera that's really good! 😉
I wish I could take rides like this! I ride western but I really want to do more trail rides but just don’t really have the right trail to do it on lol

Does running them in the woods teach them to always run in the woods or do they just do this with you? Didn’t know if they would just take off with a rider that didn’t want to canter. You do such a wonderful job cantering. I’m too nervous to ever canter in the woods.
since not all the roads are suitable for a canter, they quickly learn which roads are. Which means that they tend to rush ahead of things and sometimes you have to correct them. You can't really blame them though, they want to go for a run and honestly so do I :)) And maybe you'll get there one day ;)

How long does your helmet cam last? Mine runs out of battery sooo fast....
I wouldn't really be able to say how long it lasts. I should add that I never record the entire time though

How much does it cost to take care of a horse
It's pretty expensive, but luckily I don't own the horses I ride, so costs are limited for me
