I love how Fatalis is pretty much scripted to do his strongest attack as soon and often as possible once this starts playing. He hears it too. And he's *terrified.*
Feels like it might be know by now, but Fatalis's Novas happen at health intervals of 78%, 50%, 40% ~28% and 5%. They're health indicators. The Dragonator hits him for 10% of his health if both hits connect, otherwise its 5%. So, you're pretty much guaranteed for that to happen at some point.

We couldn't afford a ps2 too early in its release so I couldn't enjoy the previous games. But my first experience for monster hunter was freedom 2. It was borrowed from a friend but then I couldn't get it out of head. So my brother and I heard of freedom unite coming out and we jumped on that quick.
I always liked how after you kill Fatalis, everyone in the game says, "Well, what now? You killed a God... maybe there's something out there that can kill you someday."

On top of a superior firepower to the already monstrous might of the original, it has the power to call down meteors. *White Fatalis* - The oldest creature in the franchise. Its fire is traded for lightning and in Frontier's case, *existence-erasing lasers.* Basically, all that'll be left of the player to bury are memories.
This theme is why my hands were shaking when i first beat this. Capcom handles this theme so well and its the only theme that can give me goosebumps repeatedly

I was a kid when I played the first one, so I didn't do much in it, just hitting little monsters. But ever since, I grew up with MH, that music calls my very soul.
I decided to learn the fight solo and it took me numerous tries, but when I finally did him all by myself and with this music in background, my god was that a true feeling of achievement
For anyone who may not know here is a dark art for the switch axe : Zero Sum discharge gives you 4 levels of earplug (out of 5) the level does increase by putting earplug on your build so if your switch axe build has a single level of earplugs you will be immune to those pesky roars during your Zero Sum discharge. This is especially strong in iceborn because you can slam a monster against a wall to instantly enrage him, if you don't already know all monsters roar when entering enraged mode so that will give you a window to clutch claw then Zero Sum during their roar. Quick sum up : 1 level earplug for roar immunity during ZSD Clutch claw monster after wall bang for a free ZSD during roar
@_Tzer not at all, this is the safest way to ZSD, you're meant to start it before they start roaring and by the time you're done the monster should just have finished roar animation
As a Hunter of elden times, I can clarify that when I heard this, I got those flashbacks of all the times I beat an elder and every monster I’ve faced up until this point...it was a good feeling, knowing that I had layed the final elder to rest.
This song work as buff. I can feel the energy running through me. After fatalis killed me 300times and the song was vibrating through the air, i knew it.it is time
This music has an affect on Hunters no matter what. I was playing Sekiro just now and turned this on for background noise. The song helped me fight a boss ive been having trouble with and it actually boosted my confidence while fighting it! I won too!😄
i've felt this when i fought him for the first time without getting carried by a MR999 hunter, i used the dragonator and proof of a hero starts playing, and then me and my team full of randon players start playing flawlessly and take no damage at all, we killed fatalis in 3 minutes after the theme plays

I’ve been playing Monster Hunter from when Freedom Unite released on the PS2 all the way to when Rise released. Played every single western release, and Proof of a Hero still makes my hairs stand on end.

this is so true when i'm solo-ing him the 20+ times,my time left around 5 mins after dragonator activated this song is played,a sudden morale rose and playing very aggresively until i carted again at around 3 mins left,after that i played more aggresively since i don't have much time left until roaming ballista activated i left aorund 30-40 seconds left i shoot all my ammo and attacked him to death probably left few seconds or 10s left before time out,feeling so good but dang it's so closed
unless the 6th gen is announced. The MH team always never fails to amaze its consumers. And even until now with World, they made OGs and Fivers impressed

My best and most satisfying experiences in MH is when the Proof of a Hero starts to play in these types of hunts.
