Mind runs away. And then one forces to still it with meditation/methods etc. But it keeps running away.
Mind will run away. Don't apply too much force with the mind. But please see why is it running away, from where and to where ?
If mind isn't at the right place - it will be restless, will run from it. And this is a good sign. Now you know - perhaps you aren't at the right place. Give the mind what it searches for - peace, freedom, love ; it won't be restless.

How does this match with acharya jee recent videos wherein he says man is like a cow let it graze? There he says mind will do what it has to and you do what you have to. Isn’t there a contradiction????

He is actually not stating anything than what it actually is. Its my experience as well if you don't like where you are your mind never rests. And to stay there and work or whatever you try to do all sorts of arrangement, spirituality etc but it won't rest until it comes to its home place where it actually wants to be.
