X8 SPEED: Aurora in S Wales, UK. New years day 2025 bright pink aurora

What an amazing start to 2025! We got a short, but dramatic burst of bright pink aurora in the early evening of new year's day! I managed to capture a time lapse from the aurora showing as a weak pink below the cloud base to full power up!

It was taken at Rhoose Point, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, UK, looking approx North North West.
There is a jump scare (firework) and a UFO (the 17:25 KLM flight to Amsterdam taking off from the nearby Cardiff airport and looping over itself.
