  • Democrats say they're horrified by the Supreme Court's ruling, while Republicans are pleased. The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling comes as former President Donald Trump is facing criminal charges, accused of trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

    The Good news. You can't Charge Crazy Joe!

      Biden stole classified materials for decades. The only reason he hasn't been charged is a corrupt Democrat DOJ and the special prosecutor's evaluation that Joe is incompetent to proceed in court. Well if he is sufficiently competent to remain in and run for office, he is competent to stand trial. And SHOULD as soon as he gets the boot.

    Actually having a Supreme court to rule on constitutional questions is not constitutional. There was never a mention of a SCOTUS in any federal papers or writings of the congressional congress. The real constitution is simple & plain. People for many reasons purposely raise questions which can only be satisfied thru diluting the constitution. No judge is above any one citizen. They are indoctrinated and any judge will always do what is best for Their career. Sadly, Its a human frailty. The court should be nullified or at worse have short term appointment of only once per life! As seen with the trump trials a corrupt judge has the power of a thousand whirlwinds!

      Read the ruling man. Biden could “officially” ban Trump from the United States tonight or worse.

      @pauly230678 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      they didn't state what the limits were. It was in relation to a case regarding alleged election interference they could have at least qualified that in their >120 page report.

    It was the right decision. Immunity is on 'official' acts. Such as sending the military into a war zone, thus the POTUS can't be sued for troop deaths. But, if an official act is considered to go too far, there are still Legislative (House/Senate) or Judicial (SCOTUS) options to reign in a President or impeach them over those official acts should it become necessary... but that's the extreme.

      Worked out great last time, didn't it...when the Senate acquitted the last guy of impeachment for an attempted coup? Sure, Congress can totally be trusted to hold a President accountable for "going too far." Sure. I don't know if you realize this, but the SC also ruled, "testimony or private records of the President, or his advisors may not be admitted as evidence at trial..." meaning, the bar to PROVE IN COURT that POTUS' actions were indeed beyond their Constitutional authority will (for some obscure reason) be even *harder* to clear. But, I'm sure we can trust Congress to do the right thing. Especially when a POTUS has them all by the short & curlies, as Trump does with all his MAGA puppets in Washington. Sure, it'll all be fine. Nothing to worry about. 🙄

      They also can't be imprisoned for killing rivals. It's not that hard, same as me in my job the President shouldn't be committing crimes. Not sure why conservatives think it's critical for democracy that a president can legally be a criminal.

      They should be thrilled today. Their guy is in office, after all. And if he had any balls he’d start making some real big moves between now and November. He’s immune from prosecution now. Just think how much he could get done, and how many people he could remove from his path…

    Some people desperately want to believe these trials aren’t politically motivated.
    Others have a brain.
    (Trump isn’t a nice guy. I won’t vote for either numbskull. You can pull the wool over your own eyes, if you want to, but those trials are 100% politically motivated. 100%!)

    • @Point_Particle
      @Point_Particle 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually, Trump's trials are motivated by law & order. You see, when you break actual laws (I mean statutes that are written in state or federal law books), you could be prosecuted and convicted for what are widely known as crimes. And, just for a minute, lets assume that your fairytales are true - that Joe Biden (a guy who can't form complete sentences after 5:00pm, but is also somehow a 4D chess mastermind behind all of Trump's convictions) is behind Trump's legal woes (and it has nothing to do with the fact that Trump broke those laws without any of Joe's help...including the ones Trump's DOJ sent Michael Cohen to prison for). Are you saying that you don't support a President upholding the law? Are you saying that you don't support a President holding law-breakers accountable for crime? It's a strange position to only be in support of law and order, when it's holding certain people accountable, or that only certain people responsible for upholding laws should hold criminals accountable...strange indeed.
