A team of special force ops, led by a tough but fair soldier, Major "Dutch" Schaefer, are ordered to assist CIA man, Colonel Al Dillon, on a rescue mission for potential survivors of a Helicopter downed over remote South American jungle. Not long after they land, Dutch and his team discover that they have been sent in under false pretenses. "There's something out there waiting for us, and it aint no man ... We're all gonna die."
One of my favorite lines of all time. Just matter-of-fact.
I love that line.
Seems kinda fatalistic and self-defeating, but it does heighten tension.
reality of life
The death waits for all of us .and it is inhuman
@@TheSocratesofAthens I don't think he's fatalistic at all. He's being realistic. The guy is a very experienced fighter, all of them are, he understands at this point he's totally outmatched. He knows they are all fucked. He just accepts the situation he's in and express it frankly to the others. He is not the leader, so he feels he has the freedom to say that "fatalistic" line.
For a brief second, when Billy says "he's scared", Dillon has a look of terror...
Dillion knew that there was something outworldy hunting them
The cast of this movie was just incredible, one better than the other. I was fascinated by this when I first watched it after midnight as a kid. RIP to Weathers and Billy
"Not a scratch...Not a fuckin' scratch! You know, who ever got you, they'll come back again....And when he does, I'm gonna cut your name right into him... *I'm gonna Cut. Your. Name. Into him!* "
These lines goes hard!
If the toughest most bad ass mofo in your unit says he is scared then you know you really are in deep shit.
Billy's primordial Native American instincts had been kicking in hard before this scene, as he knew, he felt it. At a deeper primeval level. There is also a strong possibility that his Native American forebears had battled such creatures in the past, & Billy's elders had revealed as much when he was younger. Also, people from very isolated & primitive tribal areas tend to be far more hyper sensitive & more keenly aware of such lurking, stalking danger, of such predatory abnormalities & anomalies. That they can usually sense more powerfully, drastically heightened & sharpened as their sixth senses are, those living in or who hail from more remote, rural & tribal regions. Billy knew deep in the bowels of his primal gut that something very grave was amiss, along with the immediate peril that they were all in, that something stealthy, cunning & fearsome was preying on them. He suspected long before the rest, before it became blindingly obvious to him!
Very well put buddy, the Native American Indian's had their 6th sense well trained and had perfect feeling of their surroundings. This is why selecting and Indian as a scout for this movie was beyond genius.
@@kostasintzes9958 Thank You! And yes!
I love the fact that the director chose an Indian as the scout.
Dude was perfect.
My thoughts exactly. I can't remember if Billy was in the scene when Anna recounts the past. If he was, I have no doubt he was bringing up in his own mind how the elders talked about a similar "legend".
I read somewhere the Prey producers said that Billy came from the same tribe as Naru. That's a stretch but who knows..
I love Billy. He’s the archetype of an American Indian warrior.
Dude is just badass.
He’s like rambo in this movie
Original script had Dutch as a Native American. Which makes sense of him going back to the "old ways" in the climax of the film. But then it became a Schwarzenegger vehicle.
I could only imagine if he was still alive how deadly and dangerous he'd be in the expendable franchise r.i.p billy
Mac's speech to Blain at night, know word for word. Great scene.
When I was in middle school, watching this movie once a day on VHS during my summer vacation in 2001, I LOVED Billy's aesthetic and look. His deep voice, his native american background, his camo bandana, his long hair, his sleeveless vest, and that M-16 with the undermount Remington 870.
Holy crap, I just realized who I'm going to dress up as for Halloween this year.
lol this is the best comment ever.. if you are actually serious about this and you put together a costume, let me know! I will even send you an authentic handmade medicine pouch like the one Billy is wearing and regalia feathers to go with your costume (I’d send you genuine 🦅 feathers, but it’s not worth a $100000 fine while getting you sent to prison)
RIP Carl Weathers....
No actor ever gets to say: "Capped off 200 rounds on the minigun".
Full pack!
@@shootthejay7002 Nothing on this earth could have lived... not at that range...
Typo in the script. Should have been 2000. Mac is firing for about 20 seconds in the film and a mini-gun fires approximately 34-60 rounds per second. 200 rounds would have been about 4 seconds.
I've always said it should have been 2000 rounds
Mack says: "Capped-off two hundred rounds and then the Mini-gun; the full pack."
It doesn’t get better than this! Cinematic gold!!
R . I . P Billy and dillon ❤
You gotta admit that Bill Duke develops a whole new format of teammate-feelings. Seeing his face after he says that he’s gonna avenge Blain tells you that Mac is ready to kill anybody who killed Blain. Unfortunately for him it was not anybody but a Predator…
1:48 Here we are again, bro... Just you and me. Same kind of moon, same kind of jungle. Real number 10, remember? Whole platoon, 32 men chopped into meat... We walk out, just you and me, nobody else. Right on top, huh? Not a scratch... Not a fuckin' scratch. You know, who ever got you, they'll come back again. And when he does, I'm gonna cut your name right into him... I'm gonna cut your name into him!
Whenever I see a moon I remember this line ...

The Acting Music Cinematography ,just makes this one hell of a movie, its an absolute Belter 👍
This scene shit this movie is a sci fi horror action masterpiece.
"She says the same fking ting!"
Stunning clarity in this upload. Wow. After years watching it on my crummy VHS copy over and over this is a real treat! Predator is a classic because it became more than the sum of it's parts. The Silvestri soundtrack, the excellent script, the above-average supporting acting performances, the bad-ass subject material, the exotic locale/cinematography. All of it combined. This scene is the perfect representation of that fact. I would say that Predator and T2 are the two Arnold vehicles that hit big in all five of these areas and are absolutely timeless.
Masterpiece in SUPER HD
Billy probably knew what was going on , as his ancestors fought that thing (as in prey)
Thats a great explanation
0:06 Rip Carl Weathers
Great cast great storyline and at this point in the movie they all knew they were in deep shit the spiritual part of BILLY KNEW THEY All I would die
One of the best sci-fi movies ever! 🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖
Billy! Thanks, Captain Bringdown!
Brilliant Film. I Watch This All The Time, Would Love To See This Film in WIDESCREEN it would look just AWESOME
Few weeks ago was movie festival where they showed movies of Arnold. So i wached Predator in cinema. It was totaly new level, crazy fun.
Less GGI means better acting and plot..
the best thing about this film is the fact that arnold had the screenwriters change the script from him going up against the predator alone to a crack team of commandos.
The best thing about it was not using 5-9 JVCD in a chicken 🐔 suit that would turn this great sci-,fi action thriller into a comedy
2024,be like 💯👍🏽✊🏽💎💥
Gréat movie 🎥🔥👑
THE FEAR 😨 SPREADS AMONGST THEM ALL 👁👁
I still think they could have at least showed Billy put up some kind of fight.
Mac i see you🤣

Grande... classic of classics
Jesus Arnold needs to practice finger discipline
Such a bad ass movie......the soundtrack is awesome too
Good call from Duke! Mac was stressed out and the squad leader noticed and gave his squad member full taps to decompress faster. Which was clutch because Mac's performance that night was legendary!
Love that short barrel M60 with the vertical grip! Low key best weapon on the team. The microgun was just chambered at 5.56 and had terrible spread
Soldier, " Billy what's wrong"!?
Billy " I'm scared!!!
Soldier " you anit afraid of no man"!!
Billy " this anit no man"!!
His Native American heritage kicked in!!!
Always listen to your gut feeling!!!!, Always it will never fail you!!!!
Poncho : billy !! You know something, what is it ?!!
Billy : i’m scared poncho .
Poncho : bullshit ! You ain’t affraid no man !
Billy : there’s something outhere is waiting for us , and there ain’t no man ! We all will die …!
Those eyes disappeared
"Capped off 200 rounds in the minigun..."
I think you meant to say 2000 rounds, Mac.
he was talking about his own gun before using Blaine's Mini Gun, and he actually hit the predator
Лучшие.
So Dillon was a Mayor too.... make sense if he was on the same unit as Dutch
The ultimate testosterone movie
Them eyes...they disappeared
Is the volume in the bluray really this low? I had to put my cellphone to the max to listen what they're speaking.
If Billys scared then the rest of ya`ll shid be scared fs ! 😆
True
how could have they known they were being hunted by the greatest alien hunter in the unieverse

I like how Dutch is aiming his weapon right at mac.
What did you expect? He's a fake soldier.
@@ahmadsantoso9712 …to be perfectly honest with you, Dutch..er…Arnold was actually a soilder in the Austrian army
@@trevorjames4619 plot twist - he want to blowup his head if mac tell the truth about predator because dutch is one of predator . 😂🤣 after all he betrayed predator and kill it at last😂😂.
Too tired to take it as serious after watching this movie almost 10 times. I want different storyline 😅
Well goes to show that foreign countries suck at training their soldiers
This is the best movie ever.....
Good damn
Mac is sweating a lot in the last part there
