- Testing out the harbor freight backhoe moving heavy logs from culvert, the welded thumb comes in super helpful. I'm not sure how I would've gotten this large log out otherwise!

Nice video!👍🏻 I’m impressed with what you were able to accomplish with that machine! I’m curious also about the claw bucket. Only criticism is the music…you really could do without the music. 😁
All you had to do was tie a rope around the log, loop the rope around a tree downstream and tie the other end of the rope to the back of the tractor and drive away from the pivot tree. Work smarter.

I don't see that the Harbor Freight model has the claw attachment that yours does. All I see they have is the tan colored Central Machinery one, and it does not have the claw at the bucket. That makes all the difference in the world. Could you please let us know the details of where you got your rig and the configuration set up. Thanks a bunch!
I'll reply in case you're still wondering. Check his other videos; he bought the claw on ebay, as did I. 18" is the length you want. And in a different video, he shows welding it on himself. I hope this helps.
Why the music
I'm getting ready to buy the harbor freight towable backhoe. Does it come with the thumb? Is it fixed or hydraulic?

No, I installed it, check my channel I made a video installing it
Looks cool, until you own one, and have to inch everywhere, or move your pile of dirt multiple times because you can't pivot far enough from the hole... It's a great trencher and a stressful backhoe..
I haven’t had an issue in any situation use the front loader and in tandem it works awesome

As a former track hoe excavator operator, I have to say that the heavier machine you have, the more ripping force you have. This machine has no weight to it. My neighbor bought one of the harbor freight backhoes to dig up his water line at his gas station. It does not have enough weight and ripping force to dig through the hard dirt. He ended up having to hire a contractor instead. What a waste of $3200.
He could have returned it to harbour freight lol
