What really makes this a solid Metallica cover is the use of "Agh" after the end of each verse.
I always thought that Down Under had an amazing chord progression that needs exploring. This is precisely the kind of exploring I was thinking of.
Makes sense because B minor is the best key
"needs exploring"? the chorus is I-V-vi-IV, aka the Axis progression, aka the most common pop progression ever. The i-VI-VII on the verse is neat though

@@dedeeprice6560 I know. It's partly true though. Dave Mustaine told that he left the band/was fired (this point's not really clear : Let's agree that we disagree, like they say). What's clear is that he wrote a great part of the guitar riffs, and asked the band not to use this material... which they did, with Kirk Hammett re-recording the riffs. Sad but true 🤘
This guy is INSANE!!! Just LOVE IT!!! He needs to join some of these metal bands concerts as a cover band and do these redone songs as a tribute. I'm sure the crowd would love it!

I've seen Aussie metal bands play those 80s Australian hits live, always good to hear in between the angry doom and gloom. This one really nailed that Kill em all sound from the same decade.
Although it's cleary the "...And Justice For All" sound, if you ask me. There is a famous mashup with the "Down Under" instrumental and James' vocals for "One", and I think this here is a reference to that, the other way around.
