Spire announced that Rodney would be Crew Chief for the #t car (no mention of LaJoie) and LaJoie himself wasn't present at any of the photo ops etc of Rodney's signing. I didn't even see LaJoie make any reference at all to working with Rodney next year in the days following the announcement. This is great news, as I would hate to see Rodney settle for a driver who shouldn't be in the Cup series. Very excited to see who fills that seat!

If they keep Zane at Spire, I think pairing him with Childers is the right move. We already know what McDowell is and Rodney would really help Zane move forward. There has only been 5 normal season winners and Rujah is currently in the same top 5 and 10's as most of the top 10 drivers right now. He has not really been leading laps. He is a 5 to 10 place truck in a Tier 1 or 2 team. If he had a win count of 3 or 4 wins, maybe his name could be mentioned. He needs to race a second year in Trucks then 2 in Infinity. The Spire team is in the old KBM race shop now, Kyle would feel right at home in his old shop.
