this was probably the most stoke filled day i've had all year. from the snow, to the terrain, to the homies - this was such a good day. i am so humbled to be able to share my love for the mountains, skiing and filmmaking with you guys.

Bought the first ticket they ever sold 50 years ago! Came over from Aspen and set up a Tee Pee up in 10 Mile Canyon. Average 35 cars a day in the parking lot. Full 360 access from the top with a hike out and a thumb back to the base. Parked my Carmen Giha convertible 35` from the lift and my dog Rico slept on top waiting for my whistle for the last run of the day. Strictly powder. Cutting boundary ropes was SOP. Had to drive to Leadville for groceries. Stayed on for a dozen years owning a Bar in Frisco, meeting my future wife and now together close to 50 years! Oh the memories.

My yearly winter home. Love copper. Definitely a mountain for everyone. You’ll have to get back to it eventually when everything is open… the back bowls and high alpine terrain have some good runs..and some fantastic lines through the trees. Good luck 👑

For your Heater open all plug connections clean the put Dielectric grease both sides of the connectors (Do this to battery terminals as well) this protects from condensation/corrosion caused by using heat... Low voltage warning at heater, first check - Heater Ground. In Canada the heater will determine how you enjoy the ski experience... LOL Good Luck

Loving the vibes here, considerate skiing, keeping up the stoke. Not going to be out in the hills will late Jan but stuff like this is great for keeping up with the rowing / biking / weights to stay in condition. Ski patrol on Mine Dump seemed awesome. Here's to a great season. Peace.

Its crazzzzzy how heavily monitored and guided the out of bounds skiing is there, around me its more or less a free for all as long as you can get back to the bottom of the chairs

you comment about the Ice had me dying. Ive never said anything about it but Ive always thought like "if that is ice then what are the the smooth sheets I ski on?" . Id gladly take that version of ice all winter

I'm obsessed now though but live in the UK so not much in the way of skiing here :( Booked for the Italian alps in Jan 2023 and can't wait! Copper is my usual stomping ground. Great resort. Always park at alpine lot and take the black route over to super bee (the lift you skied for the photoshoot) copper is very good mid to late season. Easily better than breck imo. Staff is super dope as well which is something you saw fs.
Oh gotcha man! Good tip on taking over to super bee when it’s open. Definitely want to shred there again

I appreciate the effort you put into skiing - like I did when I was younger. It is much more difficult and expensive to ski in Colorado now than years ago. Parking is difficult and expensive at all major ski areas. The last ski resort to open in Colorado was Beaver Creek in 1980 - 42 years ago. Since then the environmentalists have killed every proposed new ski area. The population of Colorado in 1980 was 2.8 million - the population now is 6 million - so twice as many skiers on the same amount of ski terrain. I view ski areas as clean industry which benefit their local communities. There should be more ski areas built in Colorado.

Another thing... I came across a pretty awesome product that I think you'll appreciate... Its called the "ULANZI Quick Release Base Mount for GoPro Max". It allows you to easily switch your GoPro Max from ur 270 Pro Backpack S to ur helmet mount... No need to change mounting setup between the two!

Yet another awesome video bro! Another question... How do you get your audio so crystal clear while you are skiing? Do you use a wireless mic that you sink up with the video, or is this audio straight from the GoPro Max and then enhanced during post? Keep up the awesome ski vlogs! Love it!!!
Thanks man! I’m using a wireless lav that’s hooked up to my EOS R6 and then I sync up the two audio tracks in the edit!

Usually rotate between Epic and Ikon every other year but the new lifts on Epic this year convinced me to go a 2nd year but Copper opening day looking really nice.
What are the new lifts? Just switched to ikon from epic this year
@@choski76 the main one was supposed to open new bowl at Keystone which is currently backcountry but Vail and Breck both replaced older lifts for faster ones which I was hoping would improve congestion.
@@AlanLamb11 there's a new lift going up in Sun down bowl from base of chair 5 to wildwood
Unfortunately the crowds in Sun down bowl will go up
@@choski76 that is so fine, I rarely hit Sundown at Vail, draw the crowds that way and along with new chair at base hopefully can get up in less than 35 minutes this season.
Ketsone's new Bergman bowl lift was delayed due to contractor going outside the heavy equipment designated areas required new environmental review.

Cool day.. I was going to go to Breck yesterday and I am bummed I didn't.. They got 6 inches..
I also want to say that it looked like your JJs were very happy;) I am not from the east coast but originally from southern WI and I know ice.. Man made snow is different than regular snow no matter where you are.. My Stockli are phenomenal on man made snow and hard pack but suck on soft snow and crud and slush.. The other day when I was at Breck and they had real snow on top of the man made snow my Kastles were amazing for that and I would imagine that my DPS would be amazing as well.. I still have to try them on the soft stuff.. When you were filming the race team the other day they were basically on ice skates.. They want the the snow to be as hard as possible but they got the perfect equipment for it.. And I would say that the day that you were out there that their equipment was happy;)

@@LucasCatania17 I went to Breck today and it was awwwww sum... They didn't get any snow last night but they got 6 inches the past 2 days and 17 inches the past 7 days.. It was really cold again.. We are having a winter and it is great.. Making up for last year.. I do have mittens but I might get some leather mittens just to see if they are warmer.. I did notice that my feet were also numb..
