- Werner Voss leads a group of Fokker Dr1's on a mission to prevent a bridge from being bombed. A flight of Breguet-14 bombers are escorted by Sopwith Camels which must be shot down to complete the mission. AI and damage mods by vonS. Voss Dr1 skin by gooseh.
The plane voss was flying didn't have skids on the wings. There were three f1's made. One tested to destruction, one wolf died in when the wing departed and voss with the face. Don't even get me started on the color of the cowling..😊

Tell me something I don't already know. The only photos of his triplane are black and white of course, so what colour was the cowling? Most likely dark green.
@@Raben3721I actually read a really good article (God, I wish I could remember where) that explained that the color of the cowling was yellow, yes yellow, and why. I'm sure you guys know that it should be yellow, but for others reading this, let me try to explain why its most often been depicted as being black instead.
As Raben372 states, all of the photos of Voss's Dr.1 are black and white so it was generally assumed to be black. It turns out that there is an effect that occurs when certain colors are photographed with monochromatic film, like yellow, where they actually look extremely dark as opposed to lighter in gray scale. Photo interpreter/analysts of the period were taught to actually look at the gray scale shade in the photo and be able to identify its true color in reality. The article stated, IIRC, that a photo of Voss's aircraft had been shown to an old WWI photo interpreter for his opinion and he identified it as yellow. The article also pointed out as many here know that the nose cowling color for Jasta 5 was yellow, and given Voss was Jasta 5's commander and his other aircraft had yellow cowlings, it seems that his cowling would be yellow as well and the evidence presented tends to support that supposition. I for one believe that to be the case as well. I hope this helps.

Werner Voss' Fokker Dr. 1 was supposed to be black.I still remember playing the Rock Solid Arcade video game called Dogfight 2. It was definitely about Richthofen.

No, it wasn’t. There is nothing historical to back up. Even the DR.1 paint scheme in this video, is still being debated today.
@mikemontgomery2654 I've seen murals that showed Werner Voss right next to his black Fokker Dr. 1. Also, I've seen previous videos that showed him finally getting killed. Certain Fokjer Dr. 1s were colored green and brown. The Fokker Dr. 1s were never colored pink.

Why??? Why co I see Sopwith Camels evading in a left hand turn??? The camel could out turn anything to the right, such a well known fact. Yes including the Fokker triplane. So what is wrong with these sims?

Yeah right. The Fokker Dr1and Camel were fairly equal when it came to turning. Anthony Fokker was Dutch? All this I thought he was Japanese.
Long walk back to the Fliegerhorst. The black men will tow the DR back.
All the action took place over the German side. Don't know how far back to the field, at least the juice lasted long enough to make it over the pine covered hills.
