@@gmatclub GMAC should have waited atleast a year more to start calling GMAT FE as GMAT, this is going to create too much confusion and chaos. (According to me)
In one of the last videos you mentioned that Geometry is back, do you have any more information from the recent test takers? Should someone start preparing for geometry as well?
Hi. Thank you for watching. You can see the Geometry concepts in the GMAT Prep Focus edition to get an idea - area, volume, and perimeter of basic shapes such as square, rectangle, or a cube. However, they are not asking you to find those elements but rather asking about how to apply them in real world situations while testing other concepts. You do not need to study/learn geometry formulas or concepts really but you should NOT be surprised when you encounter it.
I do not think that the update is a surprise. The percentiles update is a common feature in Q3 every year. The GMAC has done it around this time for the last decade. Also, they have been mentioning for months that these will be updated in Q3.
Do we still have GMAT focus edition?
Well... yes. However, GMAC has started calling it just "GMAT" without the focus. So, yes, but it is referred to as simply GMAT by GMAC.

@suprotomroy - concepts such as area and perimeter were always there. They were never taken out.

This was pretty bad timing. But it could’ve been a lot worse.
