I work for a labor union here in Illinois and we have to account for EVERY penny we spend. Our executive board has to approve ALL major expenses. Between her, Belcher, House, Steave and the other two Trustees, they would be the youngest, African American Mayor and Trustee Board in the country. And she would be one of the youngest, if not thee youngest, black female mayor. They were poised to do some really good and monumental things for the city. But as they say, “Absolute Power, corrupts Absolutely..” she completely changed and became her TRUE SELF. And it threw the town for a complete tailspin. Y’all wouldn’t believe the half of what she is doing, has done, fired, sued, etc. and then as fate would have it the previous supervisor for Thornton township, Zucarelli I think, or I may have the name wrong, but that individual basically gave the position to her out of no where. So now she has the money and the power and that is a deadly combination. And as far as the recall, the people voted to have her recalled. She claimed the people were confused but the numbers where the numbers and people wanted her removed. The vote was disallowed by the judge because they did not want to set a precedent of people being able to recall mayors and other elected officials they are dissatisfied with. That is the ONLY reason, she wasn’t recalled and removed.

Way to go PBL! I'm a current Dolton resident. Glad to see she gets called out for her acts of political corruption, a common state of Illinois problem. I actually knew that mayor from a Thornton Township job I had as far back as 2008. Way back then she was even a problem to me personally. I hate to see she got all this undeserved success. She certainly deserves to be indicted for her wrong-doing.

I worked in the Dolton/Riverdale area for many years. As far as I saw, nothing came out of that area but crime. That area stayed on the news for some type of criminal activity. The corruption stinks to high heaven...stay out of the Sibley Blvd, Halsted St area at night...Baba's, Dolton bowling alley, gas stations...smh. Oh, and don't turn right at red lights either. they've got the whole traffic light camera scam going on as well

She is currently being watched by the FBI. My brother was a Trustee in Dolton. You have to go back through the entire history. When she was a trustee, she was the complete opposite. She was like Trustee Belcher, outspoken and all about holding the Mayor accountable and standing up. Originally Belcher and House, where on her ticket while she was running. Between her, Belcher, House, Steave and the other two Trustees, they would be the youngest, African American Mayor and Trustee Board in the country. And she would be one of the youngest, if not thee youngest, black female mayor. They were poised to do some really good and monumental things for the city. But as they say, “Absolute Power, corrupts Absolutely..” she completely changed and became her TRUE SELF. And it threw the town for a complete tailspin. Y’all wouldn’t believe the half of what she is doing, has done, fired, sued, etc. and then as fate would have it the previous supervisor for Thornton township, Zucarelli I think, or I may have the name wrong, but that individual basically gave the position to her out of no where. So now she has the money and the power and that is a deadly combination. And as far as the recall, the people voted to have her recalled. She claimed the people were confused but the numbers where the numbers and people wanted her removed. The vote was disallowed by the judge because they did not want to set a precedent of people being able to recall mayors and other elected officials they are dissatisfied with. That is the ONLY reason, she wasn’t recalled and removed.
