Detoured BNSF Stack Trains on the Scenic Subdivision 12/15/2024

I chased my pals on a detoured Z-PTLCHC (Portland OR to Chicago, IL) stack train up the hill to Skykomish where it met with a Westbound Stack train. BNSF detoured a bunch of freight trains that would have traveled on the Fallbridge Subdividion to the Scenic Sub due to a rockslide that derailed a train the day before. In Addition, Amtrak had to cancel both the East and Westbound trip of the Portland-section of the Empire Builder yesterday and the westbound trip again this morning. The incident have been cleared up since then, but since this is UPS and Amazon Peak holiday season, BNSF is still sending some detoured trains over the Scenic Sub to keep their trains going without incurring additional delays than what they have already dealt with.
