I have another tip: put an extra weight in the center between the tripod. Most of the times there is metal stability plate where you can put some eyepieces, put an extra weight of some kilo's attached to a cord/chain in the centre of it and let it hang. Stability of your mount will greatly improve!
I'm no expert but I'd say that if you want to do serious astrophotography you will be greatly aided by a tracking mount thats motorized. There's a bunch of other accessories you can get too like a guide scope and camera that also help quite a bit. Its a lot of fun though and even with my usually lackluster results you can see so many cool things. You've got to really like the process though, since it can often take longer to process than it took to collect the images in the first place.

In a nutshell yes... The more you pay for a mount the sturdier it's going to be. So it doesn't matter really how good the OTA is whats more important is a good quality mount. Thanks for watching buddy.
