removed one recently. couple things to beware of. 1. familiarise yourself with the screw retrieval system consisting of picking sleeve and clamping sleeve. if you wind the picking sleeve too far in to the clamping sleeve it'll be v difficult to remove. you will need a small screwdriver to unwind it. 2. i broke 2 crown cutter drill trying to remove the straining screw. make sure you have at least 3.
i am in need of two implants and wanted to know if the ankylos implant system is considered top-notch , strong, long-lasting , reliable, etc, etc. Or should i look at the Straumann or Nobel biocare implants which many consider top of the line? Or is it just marketing that makes Straumann and Nobel that way? If prices are fairly equal between these brands which would you choose? I am considering having this done in either Thailand or Cambodia. Your welcome to elaborate on your professional feelings. I just want them to last the rest of my lifetime without problems or failure. So i am willing to pay a little more for the better system.
