This cutscene animation cinematics is taken from the Version 4.6 Story Quest for Cyno titled Lupus Aureus Chapter: Act II "Oathkeeper", recorded in HD quality and English VA. This shows Cyno fighting a fellow student of Cyrus named Sethos, an upcoming playable 4-star character. He is the grandson of Bamoun, the leader of the Temple of Silence where Cyrus was once a member. They abducted him because they believed he betrayed Bamoun many years ago and now they want the stolen Hermanubis power back.

Yeah,according to leak,Natlan focus on story more and basically more cutscene. This quest and the main event with new animation for itto definitely showed it. That why mihoyo tweet about visual upgrade for 5.0 . Honestly Natlan will be great,level 100,more cutscene and focus on story,most importantly, Columbina origin

@@GenshinConcert because they do have the same power. They're both followers of that Anubis god and they're chosen to obtain that god's power. Cyno was chosen so he got the full thing while Sethos didn't. Well that's what I think, haven't done the story but that seems like the gist of it

I seriously think Cyno is one of the best written characters in Genshin Impact. His unique personality plus this fleshed out origin story, makes for such a fleshed out character arc.

sadly the traveller and the children did not use their elemental skills against the Knave... missed opportunity there but I super like this one

as well as lore heavy titles like god-kings, which usually just came from the books, until it was introduced earlier in the remuria quest, and god-king remus; and now in a story quest with god-king al-ahmar, instead of just being called "scarlet king". i have hopes were gonna see another god-king later on, either decarabian, morax, or even someone from natlan

I mean Cyno did have to hold back a little on Sethos because this was a duel not against an enemy
They did not do Sethos dirty or anything, perhaps you did not notice but sethos has never wanted to inherit both of the "ba fragments " because it is not what he has chosen for himself, he does not want to become the sole vessel of hermanubis because that is not his ambition. He is yet to find a meaning of his existence and he is certain that it is not inheriting the power, as they say with power comes responsibilty. So it is also possible that Sethos fought but intentionally accepted his defeat (you can see Cyno and Sethos smiling at eachother in the cutscene which indicates that they were both had the outcome planned ) if that makes sense ahsjdjdkjf
I feel like they figured out how to make those "comic panel" like Camera shots in Fontaine but then they figured out how to do it in Animated Cutscenes and they're showcasing them now in Arlecchino's and Cyno's SQ Cutscenes
Natlan fights scenes are going to be insane (longer and better). HOYOVERSE really improved their 3D animations 🔥

Look at Sethos' spear, its part of the Tullaytullah series! I hope we get this weapon soon! For those who dont know, this weapon series contains the ff ( Xiphos Moonlight, Wandering Evenstar and Makhaira Aquamarine)

I loved this story quest. It shows us almost all sumeru characters and their relationship. Sumeru is my favorite region and this story quest really made me miss exploring sumeru. The only thing i wish they did was also include nahida in the story quest

There are some characters who use more than one weapon aside from what is shown in their gameplay.
Every Knights of Favonius characters used bow was a requisite for their training (Jean, Kaeya, etc., even Diluc, too). Zhongli once used a sword to slice up the peak of the mountain (Summit Shaper), Childe mastered all weapons except for bow.
There really is a difference between the 2 Cyno Claws appear to be made out of energy while the other one is more wrapped in bandages. But once he activates it, their hair looks the same.
And of course, he would win after all, he is the general and he's been in constant battle after battle.
I don’t play genshin but I absolutely love watching play throughs and cutscenes in this way. So grateful to those who post the story like this. Thanks!!

Maybe he knows how to use multiple different weapons? For example, most Samurai knew how to fight very well with Spears, Swords, and bows (even guns/muskets at some point)

It's just a simple explanation: Developers want to showcase playable gacha characters looking cool on screen to make them more desirable to pull. There's no other reason why they intentionally want to nerf the traveler. If they showcase the traveler overpowering Arle, then that reflects the desirability of getting them, and a great possibility of not wanting to pull that character anymore due to that reason.

MY GOD I LOVE THIS! I genuinely think Genshin's story is better experienced without the combat. That's certainly one of the reasons why I hold hope for the anime, since the story will be told in a consistent motion, never interupted by random quests and combat sequences

Well I didn't do all the event in but before that scene I never saw him fight with his transformation so yeah he's surely stronger than we though
when i reached to this part, what surprised me more was how much the scene after the fight kept on going since im usually used to the cutscenes being 1 or 2 minutes

The Ba Fragments seem to resemble a beating heart, so does that mean that the fragments were really Anubis's heart? If thats true, that means Cyno literally has a heart of a god inside of him.

No. Childe can use multiple weapons, but he chooses to wield a bow. If you look at his cutscenes you can see him using a polearm and a sword.

ngl i liked this sq alot more than the knave's. don't come at me, i have a different interest in history so this quest satisfied me alot with info. the only thing about the knave's quest for me, would be the lore drop on the project that the harbingers are cooking up, other than that, it was just a classic story you will find in anime or something.
I liked both stories but in the end I would have to agree with you. I loved Arlecchinos quest and her as a character, but Cynos story quest feels more action packed with a good deal of lore inside of it, it was more enticing to watch.
He basically gained a power up and just when a war is about to come.
