Pastor Lawson and Pastor Cosby love for the church is evident; this is an excellent model of leadership transition. When pastors hold to office until they diie (except when its an early death) is selfish and inconsiderate. I am homebound and Wheeler Avenue is my online church.

It was so refreshing to hear a Pastor that's excited about he's doing. The conversation was so intellectual. I loved it...This was such a model interview people really need to take note.💕

How does the Baptist Church factor into The Church that was establish on the day of Pentecost? What chapter & verse did Jesus speak of or his apostles teach indicating denominations are apart of the original church? The Baptist Church was establish in Amsterdam Holland by John Smyth in 1612. So what you have is the wrong founder, wrong location & 1612 years to late. Third point the apostles were called christians first in Antioch, their weren’t called baptist first. The first Baptist church in America was establish in Providence R.I in 1638 by Roger Williams. Psalms 127:1 Except the Lord build the house they labour in vain that build it etc. What you have here is a church or organization established outside of Jerusalem and the doctrine taught in the Baptist church is different than the apostles doctrine. Their was only ONE CHURCH during the first century. Researchers have estimate their are 32-35k denominations in America alone all teaching different doctrineS. 2nd John 9 whosoever transgress and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ he hath both the Father and the Son. The doctrine of Apostles in Acts 2:42 did not have bye laws or creed books to governs the church and the congregation knows nothing about. 1st Peter 4:11 if any man speak let him speak the oracles of God, my opinion or feelings certainly not my interpretation of the scriptures does not matter 2nd Peter 1:20. It would be interesting if Mr Thomas are his guess are anyone can answer these questions.
So, where is this one church that was founded on the day of Pentecost today? This so-called one church was a short-lived reality. Almost immediately, there were differences of opinion regarding Jewish/Christian relations, baptism, women, Gentiles, the Lord's Supper, church polity, etc. What the Bible records for us is the struggle of believers in Christ to navigate the tension between faith in Christ and life in the world. It is normal (and expected) for the Christian faith to manifest itself in authentic ways in a variety of contexts. This is the genius of the faith. The flexibility of the faith that was once delivered unto the saints is its key to relevance in every age. Jesus' litmus test is do we love the Lord God with all our entire being, and do we treat others as we would like ourselves to be treated.
Great point noted. The purpose of the gospel is to communicate it to the point people are convicted of their sins, it's the factor of communication
Wallace Bennett thank you for your reply. Peter Acts 2:22 Peter begin to preach the good new s of Jesus Christ “THE GOSPEL.” To bring mankind to repentance. Acts 4:12 neither is their salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven give among men whereby we must be saved.
Wallace Bennett keep in mind salvation is not in denomination. I hope you ask what do I mean?
