Hey Ian, not sure if you follow a show on History channel called Alone? This season is in the Mackenzie Delta - south of you by a couple hundred km. Anyway thought it was interesting - cheers
@@Erated78 watching it right now actually. We paddled down Campbell Lake and through Gull River where they are, when I was in College. We did Canoe self rescue and other stuff in there.
@@muskrat411 right on! I’m rooting for William Larkin from Labrador - he’s a good man and a family man as well - he has channel on TH-cam called William Larkin Jr. cheers
Very cool. They want to reintroduce them back into the yukon flats within a couple years, 30+ would be flown in if everything goes as planned. We’ll see how it goes. Take care my friend.
Great video brother thank you for sharing they are huge
These ones are bigger than the ones near Yellowknife I think.
@@muskrat411 down here iny section of Maine we gotta do that with moose and deer. Them moose are so hard to see with your head lights be safe
@@ScottDore-jn3nf I'm flying home from Yellowknife so I'll be good. Good it don't get dark here.
Every now and then I caught a glimpse of the buffalo through the black flies.
And the dirty windshield from all the dead bug bodies.
Quite a nice sight - they don’t move until they’re ready to move lol - looked like horse flies where thick - cheers
Yeah must have had a 30 minute wait before they all decided to cross the road.

I'm sitting beside Fort McPherson game warden. She said when they do that she will be dealing with them in couple years.
Not fun to try to see at night! They cause lots of accidents.
Yeah they like the road. Get hit by big trucks. I would not want to hit one with that RAV4 I was driving.
No shortage of bug’s there, thanks
@@hunterwoodsman2852 yeah windshield was plastered with bugs.
Mosquito city
Bull dog (horse fly) city. Not many mosquitoes.
Great footage. They are attracted to the grass growing on the clearing along the road. Caution when driving is necessary in the area.
Lots of burn in the area. So they are really attracted to the fresh grass. Lots of accidents in that area involving buffalo
That is a nice quite stretch of road
767km from Fort Smith to Yellowknife.
