This is a pretty good movie about abusive/toxic relationships. She is verbally/emotionally abusive, he is neglectful/distant (granted who wouldn't be distant from someone who is constantly talking down to you). Instead of either of them leaving or getting professional help, they stay in their misery because it's comfortable. When they find a way out, they want to go back into it. Typically, not learning much, if anything, on how to be better to themselves or each other.

The man should not have to do everything, she definitely made things worse by not responding how an adult should respond. If you're in a relationship you should be open and direct about how you feel. Having strange behavior for acts of attention is something a child would do. A guy should not have to go out of their way to make you happy for you to conduct yourself appropriately. You should do that because...you know....you're an adult? There are a lot of grown mature women who would have handled this a lot differently.

I think it's obvious that the moral of the story here is to not neglect your love ones.
In the beginning, their relationship were great because he gave her a lot of attention. After their marriage, he started to neglect her, making her lonely. So the only way she knows how to cope is to just talk and making a scene to try and make him pay attention to her again. After the guy paid the Casanova to seduce her and got her a job, she doesn't feel as lonely anymore because of all the attention she is getting and, as a result, became more cheerful. This in turn, make her neglect him as she is starting to get accustomed to her life. He then started seeing things from her perspective and realizes why she did all of that. The evidence was all there because in that one make out session, she was saying how much she miss their time in Japan together because he wasn't neglecting her. This would also explains why she wanted a kid so bad so that she would have company when he couldn't provide it to her.
