Ya, but that bucket weighs alot less than your jeep. They will save you in a single roll. However, it won't be pretty. And it very well might bend your tub up pretty good. A good cage should take multiple rolls and still be where it's suppose to be.
Judging by that demo on hitting the stock roll bar...it's seems very strong. At on point the tractor even lifted it's wheels....!!! Yea, a custom one is much better for sure, but the Factory supplied one is not bad....
I think looking at pictures is an awesome way to get cool ideas I've definitely gotten tons of ideas by looking at pictures and figuring out how I can make something to my liking. There's so much controversy with roll cages and the cool thing about building a cage for your 4x4 is you can do whatever you want it doesn't need to meet any certifications or anything if you aren't competing in something. One thing I like to do though is read through different rules for different organizations about how they want a cage built to meet their certification standards that is a good way for a person to learn about tube size recommendations/rules for the weight of the vehicle and it also can be a good way to learn about what's needed to make it functional like gusseting certain areas and learning what what these organizations want you to do with bends and junctions and stuff. I'm horrible at understanding written instructions I need something like a pop up picture book but what I've done when I was first trying to understand tube work I read through some different rules then looked up pictures for those race truck cages and was able to somewhat learn some basics on how to put together a strong cage. I don't think I would ever blindly follow the rules and regulations for a jeep cage because I want it to look cool and have some character and it needs to fit around things but looking into those rules and photos of how people met those specs is a great way to figure out what should be strong and get ideas.
Dude you guys crack me up I love your videos, when my brothers and I are working on stuff we are the same way, I did a 392 Hemi swap on my Durango, had my wife help me put the engine in,,, because I had shoulder surgery and could not push the engine hoist by myself, we get it in there and she looks at me and says,, “ Is this thing ever gonna run” lol I was like get outta here and heck yes it’s gonna run!!! Keep up the good work guys!!
The custom cage looks DEAN! A video of the design and assembly of a cage is not something you see very often. Well done! BTW, I could not agree more on Jeep projects taking longer than the original plan. I am certain my Jeep will never be "done". As soon as one thing is completed, I dream up to two more.....
Things we learned in this video: 1. Like everyone else in America, the Peck Brothers buy cheap stuff from China. 2. We all make up words as we go along. 3. Everything wrong that happens is apparently Brady's fault. Always good to have a scapegoat! 😂 Seriously though, great video as always, top tier job from the looks of it, and if we see the final product, then I look forward to seeing it! Also, maybe y'all should start on top of TH-cam, a business building stuff like cages so we all can actually buy American products from good old fashion America! Not if y'all don't want to, just a thought, but y'all are definitely great at what you do! Keep up the great work as always and looking forward to the next one!
We love your videos here in Oregon!! Look forward to new ones every week. But I'm disappointed when you do not end the video with "Thanks for watching, Peck Brothers Off Road." We are headed to Moab next week!
When it came time to build my cage everyone kept trying to push cage kits, I wanted custom and I'm glad I went that route. I hate being like everyone else!
You guys pump out the most entertaining content no matter how short the video! Keep up the great work! Hopefully I’ll see y’all out on the trail at some point!!
Or a new floor under the roll cage with a new body torque box. That a big pain I’m sure every TJ need one my 05 and side were rusted threw use a step drill to remove. To weld use a bigger drill bit then the self tappers in the first piece of steel or it won’t suck them together ❤
I had to come back to this video because the video you dropped today 5/14/23 don't load so you need to reload it or however it works.I look forward to seeing it
Hey guys got a stupid question. Are you running the 43 swampers or the 45 swampers? I talked to interco today and 45's won't be ready till August. Not sure if the 45's are worth it.
I just bought my first jeep and it's already completely modded 😅 is that good or bad? 😮 With that said I need help finding out what all was modded. Can anyone help me figure out what the previous owners did?
Thanks for the great video. Better short than weeks apart. 5:23 Is Caleb a downhill skier or did he just ride in the middle of the bench seat on the way to the job site?😂
I was in my 40's when I went to TX for the first time. For the life of me, Corpus Christie came out Corpus Crispie every single time! LOL Hobby Lobby came out Holly Hobby. Total brain fart, I swear.
I'd say the stock roll cage works pretty good considering how many times it took to crush it
That and it wasn’t bolted into the Jeep and they sprung the crap out of it not being firmly mounted.
Ya, but that bucket weighs alot less than your jeep.

That bucket can exert 20,000 lbs of force.
@@rcmike09 my stock cage has but idk many others that have tested it as much as me

I’ve see a Jeep barrel roll down a cliff and people survived (-broken bones).

Keep up the content my guys! Gonna be big one day! Love to see it i have 3 brothers and nothing better than working with them
I love this look only thing is at the window instead of mounting at the window bracket almost 90 it down and make a plate at the floor 13:00
Then weld a piece right across the dash from side to side to tie the front in.
Thank you guys for all the stuff y'all do to keep folks safe an may y'all be safe an blessed, Jeff Judah
Pure science! You guys are the best! One of my favorite channels!

The first 2 things are lockers, winch then hi-lift jack. It’s always “lockers before light bars” just my opinion.🤘😝
When it came time to build my cage everyone kept trying to push cage kits, I wanted custom and I'm glad I went that route. I hate being like everyone else!
I just recently started watching you guys and I love the videos, I'm really surprised you guys don't have more subscribers
Looking good so far! A longer video will be great. Keep em' coming!
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love the design and the amount of work y’all put into this, I completely get it Brady but that attention to detail really pays off in your work
You guys pump out the most entertaining content no matter how short the video! Keep up the great work! Hopefully I’ll see y’all out on the trail at some point!!
Holley high ram intake with with the air to water intercooler sandwiched between
Window says let me in on this fun ! factory roll bar looks like if the bottom was mounted to something results would be better !

Thanks for another vid! Im heading to Utah right meow. I feel you guys are on the right path fo show 😁
It’s a lot stronger when bolted down . I feel safer knowing how strong it was😅
Another cool video from some cool dudes. Keep them coming. Hopefully we can meet up in Sand Hollow sometime and do some wheeling.🤘
Thank you for the super like brother!! We’d love to wheel with you especially after what we saw at backdoor at KOH😎
Just think how well the stock roll bar would have done if you had tied the bottom in like it would be when installed.
Legit, you should make a jig and sell a base cage kit without the shock hoops and such for TJs and LJs. Parts are the next step after merch. 🤘
Killer cage boys gonna turn out one of a kind
That green TJ in your thumbnail was my Jeep. I lived through that. If you want more pics, I have several, plus pics of my injuries
No freaking way. That’s insane man!! Hope your good 🤯
@@PeckBrothersI'm good now, that happened June 15, 2013

Sorry man it’s not TH-cam is not working with us today 🫠🫠🫠
You three are so awesome. Would be fun to work with you guys.
0:27 hey wish light bars actually aren’t to bad had a little 6” once for shoots nd giggles and it was brighter then my headlights in my old ram
I absolutely love this channel. Every video is so fun to watch. Keep up the great work!
do y’all think that a dash bar would be beneficial?
Looking good guys!!
You should coin the name PeckTail. For that extra styling piece you add to all your custom cages.
Great job guys! Quality over quantity.
Nice! Hurry up already! Let's wheel!!
Hey guys got a stupid question. Are you running the 43 swampers or the 45 swampers? I talked to interco today and 45's won't be ready till August. Not sure if the 45's are worth it.
Insane build 😮
Killin it as always boys!
It’s looking pretty dam good!
If you want practice I have a 2010 Rubicon with a 5.7 Hemi

Good episode guys. I enjoy your content.
Do you bring the front down to the frame?
Great job
So entertaining!!! Thanks for a great video
What a bunch of nice boys.

I'm in Jacksonville FL btw
Thanks for the great video. Better short than weeks apart. 5:23 Is Caleb a downhill skier or did he just ride in the middle of the bench seat on the way to the job site?😂
Awesome video!
Cramble =Crush + Scramble everyone knows that!!🤣🤣🏁💣🤯☮️🌎
Any jeep can be rolled once, but with a good cage it can be rolled several times.
I was in my 40's when I went to TX for the first time. For the life of me, Corpus Christie came out Corpus Crispie every single time! LOL Hobby Lobby came out Holly Hobby. Total brain fart, I swear.
Your cages need an internal "X" structure.
that roll cage is stronger than your excavator 🤣🤣🤣
loved it!!
Awesome
I was just watching a video and went private it said.
We are trying as hard as we can 🫠🫠
WHICH one of you guys was the major screw off in school? My money is on Alex.
put a light bar on alex , s jeep jk
Just because his last name is Peck doesn't mean he can talk. .......lol
You guys should get more subscribers. Then you can pay for someone to edit your videos.
