Brilliant Paul.. You are a great teacher. This is the sort of info needed., how to integrate bass notes. I'm so gratedul for your generosity in sharing your knowledge and expertise. Would you be able to demonstrate using the bass notes in an Irish ballad? Thank you, Aine Brennan
Paul, absolutely loving these! Is there another tutorial that you have somewhere that explains how to use (and more importantly for me) FIND left hand base and chord accompaniment for other songs I am playing? Is it just hit and miss? Is it trial and error until I get the right combination? Some songs didn't work at all with the left hand accompaniment. Wondered if there was some sort of technique to that or is it just trying things until they work?
Here is what I picked up. If you are playing in C, D, or G or A, you should find something that works. If you are playing in a minor key or the key of B, you can't use the bass. Paolo Soprani B/C (top of instrument) outside inside chord G/D E/A bass G/D E/A chord C/G C/F bass C/G C/F
Hi Paul, thanks for your videos. I was trying to follow along with this one but my bass notes seem to be different to yours. My G is the bottom two outside notes on the pull (instead of the two top outside notes on the push). It's a hohner double ray black dot accordion. My right hand is the same as yours. Do they come tuned differently?
Currently just a DG Pokerwork and GC Presswood, but used to have this BC, which I think was a CF when I got it, but swapped reed blocks with a BC Double Ray I had. Used to have a similar C#D too. If I ever need a box in a key I don't normally use just for teaching these are definitely first choice!

Hi: do you know the title of the song? Is there a score where you can study?
The britches full of stitches is the song title
Forgive me asking so many years down the line but have you taped up the thirds on the left hand buttons?
Yes. Highly recommend that for BC boxes. There's a video on my my channel about how to do it.
@@paulyoungfolk thanks Paul I've started to study it.
