In my first year of engineering and I couldn't understand how my lecturer was explaining these concepts. I understand now thanks to you. Thank you :) I owe my education to youtube
In my Arabic calture there is an expression called if I can kiss you from your eyes I will it means to act how much you like the person and this is what I am going to do thank you very much for this lesson it was very logic and useful keep up :)
Honestly you explain things allot better than my prof, I really hope you would have been my professor. I understand everything you says. My name Is jahan, and I am student at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Thank you very much :)
Your videos are quite good regardless, but I would comment that, comparing this video versus the previous video, the former is more effective because it shows the solution in "real time" rather than through predetermination. Again, both videos are good because of your clear presentation technique, but that is a comment I wanted to add if you are taking suggestions.
thank you so much for showing us on how to solve problems by using parellelogram and sin e rule. I am on chapter two statics and strength of materials on equilibrium of bodies. its seamingly becoming hard to draw free body diagram and determine reaction forces. Would you be having videos on that please and what are the tricks on where to vector the magnitude. I will really appreciate. Thanks for your help.
+samwel80 The Parallelogram and Triangle rule come from geometry. You should review examples from geometry courses to help you in this area. Practicing problems from the Statics book would also help. All the Best, Dr. Stewart
I know I am 5 years late, but for the people who are reading this and have the same question, I think I figured out why you can't do that (I tried to solve the problem doing the same.) The problem with projecting them is that u axis is a part of your orthogonal reference plain (coordinate plane), and the v axis is not part of your orthogonal reference plane. So that will screw the magnitudes of both u an v resultants.

DR. Stewart, this is a tremendous start to problem solving in Statics. I really appreciate these analytical skills in engineering mechanics.
Why cant we just decompose the resultant by using 34cos35 and 34sin45?

YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB SIR!
Thank you soo much this is really helpful!
RESPECT+
thank u, sir. I have an exam test 1 next week and now I understand clearly
Thank you mr Calvin for resolving this problem God bless you
+ameer ali you're welcome Ali!
Thank you Mr.Calvin that helped me a lot
Wish you best!
+abdulaziz alsubhi Thanks.
U are too good..learning from ghana

+Gregory Rouze Yes. This is the new video style. These videos take much longer to produces but are more effective. More coming in the future.
THANKS YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SHARING
Thank you very much ✌️well explained
Very useful and easy to understand , thanks a lot 🌸
Thanks!
you are really amazing Dr. Stewart. Here in Germany we are struggling with German Professors
I hope you did well in Statics.

Thank you soo much sir.
great job... thanks a lot brother
You're welcome!
Thank you so much sir. This really helps 🙂
You can do it Arman!
12:45 , can someone help me understand how did he rearrange the factors the way he did? Thanks in advance :)
I'm so appreciate to you ,the video was really helpful 👏🏻
Glad it was helpful!
@@CalvinStewartPhD if using axis u as x why I can' get the same result when use Cos 30 (F) for u ? Thanks
could please do question 2.2 and 2.3. I'm stressing out about these ones
Thanks.
+ByFender Sorry I couldn't help you this semester. I Hope you figured it out. :-)
I am having a hard time finding where you got thAT 34 POUND
You make it so clear! T.Y!!
Could you tell me what software you're using?
Thanks,
Mitch
+Mitch Kolber camtasia :-)
Good work😍
finally got it!
Is there a possibility that there will be dynamics lectures in the future? Very informative video btw!
+Luis Brito there is always the possibility but not next semester.
i love you man thanks
why can't I just say Fu=F*cos30 & Fv=Fcos45.....?
'cause you are resolving the vector and not projecting, I guess
@@ritdhar6579 oh thanks,
I have already graduated tho 😂
@@mahmoudmosleh749 oh, cograts mate. Happy life ahead!!!😄😄😄😄

yeah
great statics
+Husnain Hyder Glad you are enjoying Statics.
Man youre my HERO..Thank u...

Book name?
Could you give me a link for this book please ?
