I have been using jio fiber for almost 2Years and I had an excellent experience. But however the day before yesterday - I had an issue ,the fiber was not getting activated (red light was blinking)- I called the Helpline and they sent engineer within 24 hours and he fixed it . I am happy (atleast in Assam,the service is good). Now m thinking of upgrading to Set top box.

I have been using Jio Fiber for about last 2 years. Everything is good and I am satisfied, only problem for me is that the fiber optic cable that comes from the distribution box about 100 metres away from my house gets cut by some trucks that pass under it, and because of that I had to call the the engineers a couple of times. So I am giving up my old connection and reapplying for a new connection and the distribution box for the new connection will be on other position near my house so that it doesn't get cut again and again. I got a new offer where if I pay in advance for 6 months, the upfront security deposit of Rs 1500 will be waived off. So have to pay for only the 6 months recharge and the device is free.
The wires are not cut by trucks but by salty local internet providers. They did the same to my jio fiber cables 3-4 times until we had to call the police. Don't let this local internet provider goons get away with these kind of malpractices.

Yes that's a major issue with it that its not yet readily available at all the places, but they are expanding soon and hopefully reach everyone...
In that case, I am lucky to get Jio Fiber service available in Goalpara Town of Assam, which is not so big town in Assam. Other than Jio Fiber, there is BSNL Bharat Fibre broadband service in my town, and that's all. Only Jio and BSNL.

In my city there're total 19 pincodes and Jio Fiver available only in 1 pincode which is around 15 kilometres away from my location and I've to pay ₹600/month to my local internet provider just for 30 mbps speed (because of monopoly, since there are no other internet provider available in my location)😩😩😩😩

Yaa, actually I can truely understand and feel you. Your distance is 3 KMs n atleast, I am trying to get the connection in my studio. Jio fiber connection box is infront of my shop. But they are denying to bring connection to my shop because the cable will need to cross the highway. See, Jio Tv set up box mein bohot options hain, maine jo pack liya hai, usme mujhe zee 5 and kuch aur apps ke subscription mile the, but usme prime videos ka subscription nai tha, toh wo maine alag se Activate kar liya uss ID se , jis se mere phone pe log inn tha. Toh app bhi aese add kar sakte ho alag alag apps. Jaruri nahi hai ki app unke hii through subscription lo. 😇 Please subscribe

When asked to their local office they told me that your are is not not under municipality its a suburban area. (which it is. I guess no, but it depends. Let me explain. See, if you have paid subscriptions of different otd apps on your Android tv, with some options which can show you live TV, then it's ok to not have a setupbox. But if you want to have live tv channels and free subscription to some ott apps for +100 or +200/month, then you should take jio tv setup box, because it's cheaper than purchasing thr ott apps separately. And if you pay for 6 months, then all your hardwares shown in the video will be free and alse you will get one month extra subscription for free. Now it's all your choice

You can easily change password through my jio app. Go to jio fiber section, and then to connected devices, easily change your password. 😇Or if still you have doubt, then you can also ask your engineer or service boy

Mera TV bhi normal LED TV hai. Ye jo jio set up box hai, ye khud ek Android Wifi Smart set up box hai, jo normal TV yahan tak ki wo jo pehle ki CRT TV hoti thi dibba waali, usme bhi connect kar ke usko smart bana deta hai.
