Thank you! (Sharla here) My daughter made it out of paper mâché years ago and it gets moved from room to room from time to time just for fun. We thought we would put it behind us and see if anyone noticed 😂.
White miso paste and powdered dulse, kombu, kelp or wakame seaweed is often used in vegan Cesar salad to replace anchovies. It would probably work for puttanesca as well. I’ll have to try it for you😊 You can easily powder seaweed in your nutribulllet/ blender or buy it powdered). My friend says umeboshi Plum paste as well as white miso and powdered dulse is an anchovy replacement, but I’ve never used plum paste before🤷♀️ We use kombu since we have it on hand to add to a pot of beans in the instant pot because it cuts down on gas and helps ease digestion🤣 White miso is a fantastic ingredient and wonderful for you as well. If you don’t do soy they have chickpea white miso, etc. 😁 Anyways love all your content! The print option in the club is wonderful, but the print your grocery list is just gold! Thank you so much!
Just want to say, I’ve been a freezer meals club member for a little over a month now and while I haven’t tried any super mega sessions yet (slowly working my way up with doubling recipes and sometimes 5 or so at a time 😅), I’ve really been enjoying filling my freezer and even with only being a month in, I’ve been feeling less stressed at dinner time and have been enjoying more free time to do other things like being out in the garden. Thank you so much, I never realized how much I’ve needed this! 😊 Also was wondering if anyone has any tips for “filling / stacking” a deep freezer (with freezer meals)? Currently organizing with reusable shopping bags with labeled index cards stapled to indicate the category, but even then it’s such a hassle pulling out bags to get what I need out. I think I’ve convinced my husband we need a standup freezer for my freezer meals (and then use the deep freezer for bulk meats and bigger things) but it hasn’t happened yet. Any tips would be appreciated!! 😊
I'm so glad you're loving the Club! As for the deep freeze - I think the reusable shopping bags is probably your best bet for keeping it organized. Just keep doing what you're doing. It's like a never-ending pit of chaos if you don't try stay on top of it! lol The standup freezer has been a game-changer for me for sure. But in the chest freezer - bags, boxes, dividers - what ever you can do to keep it semi-organized is key. Have you tried using a freezer inventory sheet or something like that? It might help just to see from the outside what is still in the freezer and then plan your week's meals from there. Good luck! Hopefully others chime in.
@@FreezerMeals101 I used to keep inventory on whiteboards directly on the freezer but fell behind and haven’t updated in years lol. I’ll have to get back to some sort of inventory system for the sake of my sanity as well as my back (with lifting all those bags out) haha. I may be getting a standup freezer for Mother’s Day (*fingers crossed*). Thanks for the tips!
I always brown meat in the pan I'm cooking the sauce in. Adds more flavor to the sauce that way and you don't waste the good bits in the bottom of the pan
Lol, in my friend group one pot is Christie’s many dish one pot 😂 So I really appreciate this truely one pot, one pot meals 😂❤ Question, I’ve only been able to find shelf gnocchi or frozen gnocchi not fresh. I’m wondering if I should under cook the gnocchi as you would regular pasta (for non one pot freezer pasta meals 🤣 ) Also it’s good to know about the gluten free pasta since we have several friends who are celiac and we have them over for dinner and need to have options for them😊
I would do exactly that - undercook it a bit and throw it in. Or cook it on the day of. Sorry if it's no longer one-pot then. haha. You gotta do what you gotta do!
Pro tip: if you're leaving out the chicken stop... put a sticky note ON THE CHICKEN STOCK IN THE PANTRY FOR( insert dish name here) then no one accidently uses your freezer meal pantry staple "on accident" 😂 ask me how I know😂😂😂😂
Okay, maybe I'm showing my class with this comment, but these are like home-made Hamburger Helper or Chicken Helper! I'm also very glad that SOMEONE ELSE experimented with making these with gluten-free pasta so that I don't have to be as much if a guinea pig in that regard.
😂 now you've got me thinking that we should have a treasure hunt at the end of the summer! 😂 Keep a close eye in future videos to see what you might spy in the background!
This video could not be better timed... I recently gave birth to my first baby (a girl!
Congratulations on your sweet girl! ❤️
Love the giraffe ❤️❤️❤️

Me too. He’s cute.
@@FreezerMeals101 Love giraffes .... first thing I noticed
Capers work well as a replacement for anchovy paste!!
Oooh! That's a great idea!
I make the signs for my kids too!! (Let’s face it hubby too needs them)
I’m kind of relieved to hear I’m not the only one!
Whoop whoop!!! Locked and loaded let's go!
Love your videos!! Love that giraffe in the background.
For a replacement for anchovies/paste you can use either capers or a blend of white miso ( which is soy) & ground nori. Btw I love your videos.
Great ideas! I'll jot those down!

Thank you for this information. It's gold! I'm off to Google some of these ingredients...

For the artichoke & spinach pasta, could you use frozen spinach?
If you thawed it and squeezed the water out and then added it. So much moisture comes off frozen spinach as it thaws, I'd probably stick with fresh.

Good tip! I could see that happening in my house too... ;)
Or add some concentrate or bouillon cubes
Instead of cooking the sppinqch to the dish, I prefer to hbe it as a salad on the side
😊❤
Suggestion, add a teaspoon of pesto to the chicken pasta if you want more flavor that isn't the same old same old.
That sounds like a great idea!
Christie... plot twist... there is no friend... your daughter just wants it ALLLL!!!
😂😂😂
Totally plausible!

I have a homemade hamburger helper recipe that I've made for years. It's so nice to have that around sometimes! One pot meals are great!
When i thought that You can't do any better.... So
many options
Sooooo many one pot meals!!!! lol
Anchovy pasre swap for the puttanesca: miso.
Ah! Yes! Thank you!
@FreezerMeals101 another alternative for the spice-lover? Gochujang
Is it going to be a test? Board games and this week a giraffe. 😊

Dishes called me in, what are we making?
One pot....but you precook the meats. I guess you mean only one pot to cook from the freezer to the table. 😊
You are right. We do address that discrepancy later in the video. But yes!
Can’t cook if there are dishes! Won’t take long for them to figure out that you really mean what you say.
