Hi, I have a question I am currently an F1 student on my initial OPT. My initial OPT will end in June 2024 and I also have a possible extension. I am planning to take 1 week cruise trip to Caribbean/ Bahamas in November 2023. Will this travel cause any problems for my status? Will I need a prior visa for visit? will be there any immigration checks again to re enter to in US? As my OPT card says no re-entry to US? What documents will be required at the port of entry? Any information on this will be helpful. Thank you
Hi.. do you still recommend the same itinerary for beginners in 2023 ? any other closed loop 3-5 night suggestions ? why did you not choose royal carreibian as I heard its famous
I'd recommend starting with 3-5 nights if it's your first cruise. Or 7+ nights... Not everyone takes a cruise again. I chose carnival based on availability and pricing. In my opinion, all cruises are fun!
We just walked out like everyone else.... No immigration.... No passport check. Please research on your end... Things might be different for your cruise/destination.
Hi ananta and ayush, I have quick question I am on my f1 visa but my 5 years visa on the passport is expired but my am legal staying in USA by doing my another masters . I recently got married so I wanna take my wife on a cruise so will I face any visa restrictions? Or it’s better not to travel ? Please advise me and i can help you with more details but I really want to know can I be able to travel to bahamas or any island via cruise on a valid f1 status ( but my 5 years on my passport is expired). 😊
You don't need a visa for a closed loop route. I'd say checkout the Bahamas official website. We didn't apply for any visa and there was no immigration too. This might vary, check with your agent/site.
Hi Ananya & Ayush, great video. Can you tell me whether your H1B visa stamp on your passports were expired or still valid, coz I am planning to travel this coming January 2023 with an expired J1 visa but I have a valid DS-2019 until July, 2023. Do you think you did not need Bahamas visa because you had unexpired H1B visa stampings on your passport or no visa is required whatsoever for closed loop cruises? Thank you.
I am on h1b visa and my wife is on h4 with valid stampings. Do we need visa for visiting bahamas? And is dec right time to visit? Also which islands are must to visit in bahamas? Please let me know!
Depends on the trip length and the cruise you're taking. This one was under $1000 for two. Check out the full video for the entire experience and check out other videos as well. Don't forget the bell icon!
@@Pastellabeachlovergirl You don’t need visa for a closed loop cruise that means if the starting and ending destination is same for us it was Miami. So yes no visa needed.
For this trip, there was no immigration at all. (Closed loop). I had all the documents but there were no checkpoints. We walked out from the ship to Uber. I'd recommend verifying at your end. Also, in general... Originals are better anytime.
Any idea on what are the visa reqirements for parents visiting on tourist visa to USA? Also what documents do we need to carry as an Indian on H1b for entry back to USA?

Hi so when you return from the cruise you don’t need to go to something like inmigration ? Or you just leave
We just walked out like everyone else.... No immigration.... No passport check. Please research on your end... Things might be different for your cruise/destination.
No passport? I'm planning on going this year but dont have a passport.
I don't think you'll need a passport if you're a US citizen.

Do we get indian veg food options in cruise and at beach?
Not really, but one of the restaurants had dal and rice. It depends, I'd suggest checking the menu online
Do we need to take a separate visa for cruise travel other than tickets when traveling from usa to Bahamas
You don’t need visa for a closed loop cruise.
Nice video! Do you have any idea if we need visa for Indian citizens living in USA on H1b visa?

Probably not

We had a closed loop cruise, no Bahamas visa and no US immigration on return.
Do you need a passport or can you use birth certificate for a minor?
IMO you'll need a passport. I'd suggest confirming with the cruise directly.
How much is a cruise like this ?

@@anantaayush hi how much was your total trip for two with everything?
US Citizen need passport or visa?
American passport holders do not require visas to enter The Bahamas for a maximum duration stay of up to eight (8) months.
Additionally, this was a closed loop cruise, no visa required.
One quick question do I need i797 approval notice while port of entry to USA ? And is original is required or can I show a photocopy?
