I understand team issues should be handled internally, but Ticket holders and fans are understandably unclear on why a healthy Kiyomi McMiller is given a coaches decision DNP on this game of all games. Fans aren’t entitled to all the info but SOME type of explanation is warranted. Juju vs Kiyomi wouldve been amazing for everyone.
@@shesty1697 I’ve never heard that about Kiyomi. do you have any insights on what happened? I can’t find anything except guesses & assumptions which is understandable because the coaching staff pulled their star without context.
I was told she (Kiyomi) waived the coach off when asked to sub in a game prior. Whether it was warranted or not, coaches decision. Likely to prove “no one player is above the team” but I also get your point about the fans and receiving an explanation. Sometimes we get more than info than we’re actually entitled to
When a coach benches a player of McMillers talent because of a fight. Three things are true 1) she don’t care about winning or mentally already knows Rutgers would lose. True. 2) is not tuned into the reality of a player like McMiller and the reality of what a player like her expects and protects. 3) clearly doesn’t understand the reality of the Rutgers program. And what it means to be at the top?
@@shesty1697 coaches don't get paid to build character they get paid to win games. This is her third year there and this is her first winning season. She probably going to get fired if not this year then next year so she has to get her act in order because these coaches have egos. What you think that Nick Saban and Urban Meyer didn't have knuckleheads?
That night was not the night to make that decision! All eye's were on this game for a reason and it failed! A point could have been made after this game but definitely not when the camera's were finally shining on Rugers!
@@JacquezEllis I feel like Women's Sports doesn't want to get to the next level... I watch more women's basketball than the Men's basketball.. It used to be the other way around.. I'm ready to see these ladies take it to the next level and Kiyomi is definitely next level talent... I don't know the circumstances of benching her, but this is a business... this is not about the ego of the coach or student-athletes.. I want to see the kids play.. bottom line....I don't care about the internal politics....

Basketball isn’t a one man show. I’m sure there is a reason the coach made the decision. Kiyomi’s attitude is selfish.

Girl in this day of nil and big money and ur talking about frickin ministry??? No disrespect
Losing two great talent to transfers umm definitely a coaching issue here
Exactly
Fire the head coach... No excuses
Sounds to me like kiyomi has an attitude problem and the coach isn’t gonna let her run her team. 🤷🏽♀️
Well usc run them coach will be fired soon
Worst loss in school history??
@@thebarbermosaic doesn’t matter. You can be an amazing player with a terrible attitude standing in your way.
You do know they want the same amount of games this year already that they won last year. Kiyomi is the key

You just lost your best freshmen lady😅😅😅😅
Loss…I hope not.. hopefully this is a one off situation.. I showed up after watching her highlights 😢
She answered the Kiyomi question in such a cowardly way 🙄 get used to losing games! Rutgers just lost a generational talent!
