318s are great engines. I need to rebuild the rear end on mine too. The passengers side is leaking from the bearings by the wheel. That will be fun. Cannot wait to start driving her tho!
@@TheMordenL1fe my headliner took to sagging i reglued it twice it kept falling down. so i went to walmart and in their sewing section i found large matching fabric buttons put them up three across on center and it fixed the problem. this was my first new truck i bought it with my army bonus pay and have kept it ever sense. always did my own filter and oil changes on her every 3000 miles the tranny got changed every spring like clockwork rear end every two years. the life of your equipment is in the oil use the good stuff the best you can afford stay away from fram oil filters. wix or napa for me. well good luck buddy. damn fine truck.
@@TheMordenL1fe true lol I offered them 1600, the panels had a patina but they were dented all over, like every one lol it had nice tires and wheels, a lot of guys overcharge because f wheels and tires I've noticed. I tell them they can have them lol
@@Fortuna_716 there's a jeep for sale down the road from me they want 9K when the jeep value is blue booked at 4k. I really want to contract him just to say why should I pay double than what it is worth
@@TheMordenL1fe seriously, people think the should get what they pay for with mods, but it doesn't really add much value at all. Like a bust down Rolex, you're actually decreasing the value of the watch. I think wit cars too, people become emotionally attached and think they're worth more than they are
These ram trucks were good however the 904 transmissions were not as tough as the GM hydramatic turbo 350 or 400 3 speed automatic in a manual version these ram trucks would be indestructible the 318 is fairly thirsty on fuel and not as good in power and torque as a 350 Chevrolet small block

For the dome light, I bought an LED replacement at wal mart for about $10. It fit perfect in my 86, and is much brighter

I have driving that same truck for 31 years. 300k same eng same tranny had to rebuild the rear end around 70k. never has let me down
