Air gap in pipe problem description good.

I bought a HP smart tank plus 555. After 5 months I had print problems with the black ink, Looking inside I found that the black ink pipe was full of bubbles.
I guessed that as it stood there it was sucking air back through the print head as the ink ran back into the black reservoir.
So I fitted a small non return valve from ebay just after the reservoir in the plastic pipe to prevent this.
I had to clean the ink out of the pipe and the small valve that prevents ink running out if the head is taken out and the head as it was full of thickened ink.
Always keep your reservoir full of ink as when you get air into it the ink starts to thicken, as it should or it would be a moist copy, and clogs pipes and heads.
A print job once a week stops stagnation.

I didi it differently
1- i prepared on my computer full page of one color,say cyan.
2- i make a cap with tube so that it fully cover the filling port without leak to pressurize it.
3- Simultaneously, i printed the cyan page while i mouth pressurize the color tank from the filling port, which pushed the ink and air into the print head.

@@mahmouds12 i took a plastic bottle cap, big enough to cover the ink filling port. I glued a tube on it so that if i blow into it it will pressurize the ink tank for specific color. I placed the cap with rubber seal on the filling port in pressurized it while printing that same color. The pressure force the air out and fold some ink on scratch paper.
Then print as normal.
