    great as always. glad Hams is back too!! Will's a beast he will recover quick. I'd be interested in seeing that trans rebuild. I always find myself learning a lot when I watch random stuff like that. God bless. Patreon is worth it!!

    Hamish came in clutch with the lighting at the end. Be careful or we might start having expectations, LOL.

      Yep second this. They're known for dropping pressure at hard corners and it's an amazing upgrade.

    M20 us looking sharp, can't wait to see it running. The trans rebuild would be cool to see buddy of mine is on his third so I'd like to see the inside and what breaks.

    Long block is looking badass and super clean especially for an m20. Usually they're pretty grimey but Chris' is looking fresh. Wrinkle black always looks good too on the valve cover/ manifold. Take some sand paper to the raised bmw logos on it after you paint it for the raw aluminum look on it. Will look sick. Glad to see Will doing good. At least hes well enough now to work until he gets cut open. Hopefully all that goes well and relatively painless for him. Thanks for sharing this Chris! Looks really good dude!👍👍

    That engine's looking sweet! amazing what some cleaning and paint does, a little extra time now makes all the difference once its complete. I definitely tend to slap shit together for functionality more than spend time on appearance and sometimes regret it. Welcome back Hamish! also i've seen a guy grenade a Focus ST 4th gear, it was right next to me as he was getting pulled on.... it made some horrible crunching noises would not recommend

    thank you for adding this, i am also going to stroke the m20 on my 89 vert. what is youur opinion about ITB's.

    • @DENVERBEERANDOIL
      @DENVERBEERANDOIL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ITBs are super cool, only annoying part is the tuning. They just seem to need constant adjustment depending on altitude and weather, but you can't beat the induction noise, and they definitely make more power when running right.

    Which vid do you you talk about what's done to the engine? I'm interested to know what build specs on the engine if any. Is it a stock block, stock head? Head studs? I have a 87' 325e and want to finally get it on the road. What are the capabilities of the engine if I do the 325i head with arp head studs and keep a 2.7 SBE and turbo it?

    • @DENVERBEERANDOIL
      @DENVERBEERANDOIL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Engine is a stock super eta from an 88 325. Cam has been changed to a Shrick unit with 284 intake and 272 exhaust durations and matching valve springs. Arp head studs with a fresh head. 325i intake manifold and throttle body. Some No-Name turbo manifold.

      @@DENVERBEERANDOIL thanks for the quick reply. This build gives me some comfort knowing I can get some good power out of the stock 2.7

    Hi DBO, how do I build a 20b25 stroker from a m20b23 engine..? If I rebore my block to 84mm and still use the same crankshaft..will I get more power..? And maybe use a 2.5 cylinder head..

    Is that M20 block a 2.7L or 2.5?

  • @norton5.037
    @norton5.037 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yooooo take the cylinder head back off and assemble it with it off the block. You'll have piston to valve contact if you try it the way you're doing in the vid

    • @DENVERBEERANDOIL
      @DENVERBEERANDOIL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would have been easier your way, but the engine is already timed, so no contact occurred.

      F***** 😟, just make sure surgery is the best future options bro. I heard will say screw and bolts live with it in pain or screw together with limited movement. I heard a lot of stories just do your homework or ask more drs.

      He had the surgery yesterday, they had to reattach the tendon. He should be able to use his arm fully again in a couple months and then be full strength in a year
