    After watching 5 other videos on pressure canning chicken, and still being overwhelmed, I found your awesome video. Because of you I was brave enough to try out my old canner that I've never used. Now I've done three batches and feel like a pro! Thank you so much for making it understandable and easy. I don't know why some people say we have to cook the chicken beforehand, or add water, etc. You know your stuff!

    I just found all natural, antibiotic-free chicken breasts for a good price and bought several packages. Problem is, my freezer is pretty full😬. I knew it was time to learn how to can chicken and when I saw Ella, the twin sister to my own my electric canner, I knew this was the right video for me. What clear and simple directions! I can’t wait to get started. Thanks Cassandra!

    My mother and grandmother use to can all the time in Louisiana.
    However, I have always been afraid to try because of paranoid of getting burned by steam. Yet, you make it looks simple and less frightening… so
    I just might give it a try… chicken looks absolutely delicious.

    I also have a Presto stove top canner and a Carey electric canner. I love both for different reasons. My presto 23 qt allows me to double stack pints so I can do a lot of jars. My Carey allows me to do smaller batches or just four quarts. I have never heard of covering the jars with a towel but I suppose if it works for you that’s good. Thank you for your excellent video. So many people are unsure of the Electric canners but I have complete confidence in mine. So much so that I bought one for my adult child for Christmas. They love it.

    I just found your channel because of the 2022 what you will and won't can. I've been watching all your videos and they are just wonderful. My new instant pot max, with canning option, should be arriving on Monday. I'm looking forward to using it to can meats. I really appreciate how you taught this, can't wait to do it using your video. Thank you so much 💓

    I so love watching your videos. New to canning. Very new. Just got my canner yesterday. I do have a question. I see that the chicken made its own broth, but I noticed some darkness on the parts that were not submerged. What happened there and should I be concerned. Thanks much

    A year and a half ago my husband granted my wish and bought me a canner. I still haven't gotten the nerve to try using it. 😅 This tutorial is so well done!!! I want to try this weekend to give it a try. I also have a glass top which is one of the bug reasons I'm scared.

    Hi Cassandra, do you know if I can can pork ribs with the bone-in? Also would you add BBQ sauce for chicken or pork before or after canning? I love all of your “lessons”, although they feel more like a friend is showing me how she does things. Always so many great ideas and recipes! 😋😍

    • @pricer39
      @pricer39 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not Cassandra, but of course you can cook pork with the bones in (lots of flavor in the marrow. If you want the final product to be BBQ, you can add sauce to the bottom of the jar. As the meat cooks, the sauce will get diluted a bit but you can add more sauce later when you use the meat, or cook down the sauce from the jar to make it thicker. I think Cassandra said that she likes to make her chicken plain because she doesn't know what she will be using it for (pot pie, ckn salad, tacos, etc) & will adjust her seasoning accordingly

    Hello, Im new to canning as a matter fact i did my first raw pack chicken in quart jars today. Following your technique. I canned four jar and it seems they all sealed but somewhere during processing one of the jars one must have leaked fluid because its less juice inside the jar compared to the other three and there is grease in the water that was inside the machine. Now my question is should i considered that particular jar no good and refrigerate and eat soon. The seal did seal after processing.
