I haven't tried cable swapping with the CXS, but I have tried it with one or two IEMs in the same budget, some time ago. The guys at HeadphoneZone let me try out a few at a Headphone Connect event. I'd say there was a definite level up with imaging and a slight stage improvement again, but I haven't spent enough time with swapping to point you in the right direction. Consider having a chat with the guys at HPZ about this. I'm sure they'll be able to help you understand this better.
Which one is better Meze alba vs simgot em6L ?? My budget is 10k, and i like crisp vocal and instruments, with little bit of bass & treble ( not harsh to my ears)....and with good sound staging. Please suggest between them....or can you suggest better than them.
Sadly, I haven't yet tested the Meze Alba, but I quite like the EM6L. The EM6L isn't the most enthusiastic in the treble region, but I like that about it. If you can stretch your budget a little bit more, there's a set I reviewed recently that I think will suit you perfectly. My review goes live tonight at 9PM.
Hi. I already own em6l. But I am looking for better midbass & bass iem for classic/hard/blues rock but not big size iem like mp145. Can you suggest few options pls? Thank you
I haven't reviewed any particularly bass heavy IEMs, but I think there's a new set available from FatFreq on headphonezone that's supposed to be bass enthusiastic. You can connect with the guys at HPZ about it, I'm sure they'll be happy to guide you.
Hey paul ! I saw that u've reviewed the simgot ew100p, truthear hola and cca cra.. I am really really confused among these three. Pls suggest me one with punchy and neat mid bass, no overwhelming sub bass, and great clarity in other frequencies. We can strech up to ₹3k .. Really at sea with all these options available 😪
@@sudir_ebi just don't fall for these IEM shite man!. I have the tanchjim one and Truthear hola, jbl endurance run, jbl c150si, apple earpods, samsung akg type c. And blv me the AKG ones are the best followed by JBLs and earpod (with a bit of tuning). Don't know why these ppl are so hell bend on advertising IEMs whereas the earphones from known brands are providing a far far better sound quality. A bit long paragraph to read but I am just exhausted trying out these cheap Chinese products to find one matching my preference. I don't wanna anyone fall for this trap. Just BUY AKG Type C. It has a built in dac.
Can't compare these to open backs for sure. It's wider than most other IEMs I've heard. It sits more on a horizontal plain with a little height over the ear and out of it slightly. Impressive for IEMs.
Then what about Oppo Enco X2? What should I pick on a budget around 8k? Not interested in features or ANC but totally in sound quality (and good IP rating if possible) @@PaulsPOV
I've heard good things about the X2 but haven't tested it as well. Of all the TWS earphones I have reviewed, the E3B comes closest to stage and detail like some IEMs produce, which says a lot about them. I've done some A-B testing with the Yamaha and some JBLs and a set of LG's. The E3B always comes on top when it comes to its overall sound reproduction. Would reccomend from whatever I've tested.
How good is this to listen to Indian film music songs. Tamil, Hindi, Daft Punk kinda songs and a variety of genre. Are they "fun" sounding or too analytical and "boring"?
I like that these aren't too analytical. They're middle ground when it comes to detail recovery, which I prefer for music enjoyment. Healthy in the bass and not shrill in the highs. I've quite enjoyed listening to these for some heavier music, too. Lower frequencies aren't bloated but have a good energy and structure. The only thing to keep in mind is that these are transparent when it comes to what hardware you're using to drive it. If you've got a good setup, you'll enjoy these for the genres you mentioned.
I'm not too sure about Motorola's hardware, but since you're willing to pick up an external one, consider the iFi Go Link one I've used with these. I've got a review on it here -> th-cam.com/video/yLHLajwFzMI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bps3Ck89boTWKkA6
@@PaulsPOV Thanks. One last doubt : I'm a bit confused between Simgot EM6L and Fiio FD3. I know both are different in sounding. But I want to know which is the best fun sounding ( slightly increased bass without messing much with mids and treble) IEM for the genres mentioned above.
As much as I'd like to give you advice about this, I haven't reviewed the FD3 yet, so I wouldn't want to give you any wrong information. I think the guys at HeadphoneZone should he able to guide you better here since they'll most likely be able to do some A-B testing and let you know.
Excellent review! If you can get their higher-end models like Fermat or Boson, please review them. Simgot is on fire these days!
Fermat is the better version of what Boson should have been.
I haven't heard the Boson, but the Fermat really is something else!
I use kz zS10 pro with 7 khz to 40000 khz and with same driver configuration ❤
I have cca cxs ,want to upgrade in good cable ,can a good cable improve the sound quality and if yes then how much %, btw your reviews are superb ❤

How is it when used to iphone while fps gaming?
So you would recommend this for dream theater, porcupine tree and other prog metal? Thats mostly what I listen to along with A R Rahman
If you're happier with tighter and better defined bass over a bloated bass, yes.
