This is the mashup we NEEDED!! You guys!!! The Way of Kings is my fave in hindsight, but while reading it was definitely Words of Radiance! But Rhythm of War had me SOBBING, so choosing a favorite is TOO DAMN HARD OKAYYYYYY -M
Another reason rhythm of war is my favorite is kaladins battle with depression is so real and as someone with depression it was scary how real Sanderson made it and the fact kaladin still isn’t healed from it is incredible
Firstly, Great intro to Smitty and a new subscribe for them for sure! Second my list is way off this with RoW as my #1 and anytime you want me to argue it, I'm game. But I completely agree with what arguments you guys came to and agree, you can understand everyone's ranking and they're all 5's competing for higher 5 status XD
Dude can’t wait for this, some of my favorite TH-camrs I’ve discovered recently collaborating. I’ll have to put this on the back burner until I read stormlight archive though 😂
If there was ever anyone who'd be able to match your guys' Stormilght love, it'd be Smitty. What a gloriously gushy video, I love it!! Pretty much agree with everything that was said here, and now I am even more pumped for my binge reread. Also, Oathbringer supremacyyyy>>>>
I let my fiancé listen to Dog and the dragon and with no context she teared up. She's never read anything Sanderson up until that point. That chapter is a master piece
46:47 Oathbringer is so good! We get so much answered from our questions! First part with all the politics and how the world is after the voidbringers became etc. second part slow but the meeting with ODIUM awesome, I’m 800 pages in, it’s a slog some parts but it reveals a lot of information!
I loved the conversation! It really got me hyped for book 5. Gonna finish my stormlight reread in November with RoW. I personally love lift! I think she is supposed to be that light character, kinda like Lopen, and provides a good contrast to the more serious characters and stories that are happening.
I haven't read these yet but this is probably the first time I watch a cosmere ranking and it's not 1- Words of radiance 2- way of Kings and then the rest 😂
I actually like them in reverse order. RoW feels like it was almost written specifically for me. And Way of Kings is one of my favorite books all time.
8:20 i read with the physical and audiobook at the same time since the audiobook kind of helped my brain visualize the words and help them stop becoming words on a page hahaha. It was like aiding in my immersion for twok
Some of my favorite BookTubers. Some feedback and completely from a place of love, I love watching your videos but it always seems I have to cut them so short (In this case, 3:39) due to the spoiler sections being the focus. Which I get! I totally do. As someone who has been freshly reborn into their love of reading and fantasy, I love watching the connection between y'all but in most videos, I'm limited to 15 minutes tops depending on the book. Just a thought, much love!! I'll be back to this bookmark when I get Way of Kings under my belt later this month (Just finished Mistborn)
We try our best to mix in book reviews and spoiler talk with topics/guest centered videos. Hard to strike the perfect balance but hope it’s not too unbearable - we include the 15ish mins of spoiler free to offset for that
Half way through way of kings and I have to stop watching! But I will say it is reassuring that I am following along with the book the same way you all have - makes me feel good that I am not missing anything! Can’t wait to keep it going!
I DNF way of kings twice!!!!!! I had to listen to it to start. It sucked me in so hard core. My mind was just not ready for it. But Michael Kramer is fantastic
Speaking directly to Richard here. That moment Kaladin was at the Honor Chasm. I'm pretty sure that's considered his First Ideal. Before we even know that's a thing. It was specifically a moment of him choosing life instead of death. From that moment on Syl rapidly becomes a lot more mature, and his powers start literally hours later.
Everybody loves the "honor is dead" line from words of radiance but it isnt the best line in the book for me.... Adolin: "My father says I'm a better man than him. Unfortunately for you, he's wrong." that line just goes hard when you know what happens next...
You guys should try “Wool” Hugh Howey, Silo the TV show is based on it but the first 150 pages I’ve read have been amazing (what S1 covers) Some really good writing & plot twists (red rising is my favourite book so far if that helps this recommendation go further)
Bizarrely Way of Kings is my favorite - I actually liked Shallan’s story (despite the cheesy quips) and Dalinar giving up his blade is my personal number 1 moment in the whole series (and in any book I’ve read)
Oh, yeah... don't get me started on how, once upon a time, I expected Rhythm of War to be Eshonai's book, and a love letter to the Willshapers the way every previous book has been a love letter to that Order... that like all the others, I'd get to see a focus character who was an absolute paragon of that Order, I'd get to see many fascinating and fantastic uses of the powers, I'd get to know the personality of the spren of that Order... ...and then we get Venli, which is when Mom says "we have Eshonai at home".
I am sad that it seems like my top 3 favorite characters are the most likely to die in Stormlight 5. I hope it doesn't happen, but it won't surprise me if Dalinar, Adolin, and Kaladin all bite the dust. If that does happen I feel like it will slightly reduce my excitement for Era 2
As someone who has Rhythm of War in the conversation for his favorite book of all time… I feel attacked 😂 1:25:14 I’m always down for Die sHard One thing y’all didn’t mention… they invented the Fabrial Logic Gate I also somewhat disagree on Taravangian and Odium being random. The Diagram is Foresight… It’s pretty much Tarangian steeping himself in Odium’s power. And I always felt like Kaladin had been set up to be a Herald like figure.
It could have been a true love triangle with a KaladinxAdolinxShallan threesome. Wasted oppertunity 😂 The Radiants desperately need more love in their lives and Adolin has so much to give
I.... have never read a ..... Brandon Sanderson book ....Do with me as you wish .... (want to try reading him hopefully in the near future after im done with first law and age of madness)
This was a really good collab guys! Just to rile you guys up, I rank the books as 1. Words of Radiance 2. Way of Kings 3. Rhythm of War 4. Oathbring As for the covers, my favorite is Rhythm of War
I recently relistened to all the stormlight books and i have a better view of Lirin now. My take on him now is that he has entirely been pushed down by the world and doesnt see himself as having any agency besides being a surgeon. He won't try to be violent to save people because he thinks that the person in power will get what they want no matter what. If he steps in, that person still dies but now even more people get hurt or die.
Wow, you guys just beat the hell out of Rhythm of War. Rhythm of War is my favorite Stormlight novel. I feel to defend it even more now. Now you’re making me fight an even more difficult war. Also, Dalinar is a pretty bad dad leading up to TWOK
Got into a discussion on TikTok with someone who said Sanderson writes for teenagers, and his magic is just practical science that’s simple. I should have stopped talking when he said that 😂
I'm with Smitty's ranking. WoR on top! My issue with Rhythm of War was that Kaladin's story was a slog for me. The other Radiants were in a coma for way too long. Teft's death actually annoyed me, and I hate that it did. We spent the whole book waiting for him to wake up and once he did, his death felt like it came too soon. He did a little bit, but if he had woken up sooner and did a little more, or even if the coma didn't last quite as long, I would've maybe not as been annoyed. It still impacted me, but it would've impacted me so much more if I wasn't also annoyed. Still ended up loving the book and Kaladin's arc in general, but that's why it's my least favorite of the 4.
I can’t believe Kaladin fixing his oaths and swearing his next ideal at the end of WoR isn’t in their top 3 scenes. Such good character story and development
I have a question for Richard! What is the program/app you use for audio books? Audible is taking away my copy of Warbreaker and LOTR…. So I want to use the app you use so I can actually KEEP my books that I BOUGHT. If anyone could answer or upvote me that would be appreciated thank you!

Oathbringer is actually my least favorite book in the series, mainly because Shallan drove me insane. Her multiple personalities felt really drawn out and annoying. I honestly enjoyed her storyline more in Way of Kings (which is an extremely unpopular opinion, I know). Oathbringer is still a 4/5 or 5/5 for me, but it had the most annoying POV of the entire series (in my opinion) and that really drags down my ranking for the book.
Squaddddd such a fun interview
Bro made it!
three of my favorite booktubers collabing? 🤯 i guess i’ll make stormlight a priority now
Was coming to comment the same thing
Never thought I’d see this collab, smitty is a dope example of new bootok/book youtuber that deserves way more views.
This is literally the booktube dream team assembled - please do this again with other series/reviews in future!!!
Them.. “Under a week would be crazy”
Me… realizing when I read words of radiance in 3 days makes me certified insane. 😭😂
😭😭😭
Yea Book 1 and 2 were both about 3-4 days each for me, which is a testament to Sanderson because I normally don't read that quickly/extensively lol
Ohh!! Love that guy! Also love those other 2 guys! And don't get me started on the stormlight Archive!
Are we not going to talk about Kaladin lashing someone’s head off?! Epic!
NO WAY. I never knew I needed this collaboration.
Also Shallan 👀 we don’t talk a about her really. She was there. It wasn’t a fave. Okay fine it was kind of infuriating always…but we move on. 😅
My favorite part is reading each prologue and realizing more and more how much of a Diddy party that feast actually was 😂
A steady stream of Stormlight discussions is exactly what I need while waiting for Book 5!! Love this!
My favorite book people collaborating? Guess I know what I’m doing for the next 2 hours
This is an awesome collab! I've watched all of you guys for a while now :)
Thankyou!
Love the video guys. I’ve been watching smitty for a while and he’s great. You three had great energy!
❤️
I dnf'd way of kings three times at like hour 10. Now it's easily one of my favorite stormlight books.
Another reason rhythm of war is my favorite is kaladins battle with depression is so real and as someone with depression it was scary how real Sanderson made it and the fact kaladin still isn’t healed from it is incredible
I am so excited to watch this video, love you guys keep it up!
Thankyou!!
This was a very fun watch, such great vibes between all three of you. Best collab you guys have done so far in my opinion :)
Thankyou!!
ohhhhh shiiiiiiitttttt....big brooooo!!!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fudgeeee!!! I really wanted to watch this video but I didn’t finish any of the books so now I have to finish the books then come back to this video☠️
We’ll see you soon 😈 (ish)

What a way to start my Friday morning
Oh this second thumbnail is IT!!!!!!!
Dude can’t wait for this, some of my favorite TH-camrs I’ve discovered recently collaborating. I’ll have to put this on the back burner until I read stormlight archive though 😂
Get to it 😮💨
Smitty is literally my favorite Booktok reviewer!
it‘s funny to hear the bets at the end after finishing wind and truth😂
If there was ever anyone who'd be able to match your guys' Stormilght love, it'd be Smitty. What a gloriously gushy video, I love it!! Pretty much agree with everything that was said here, and now I am even more pumped for my binge reread. Also, Oathbringer supremacyyyy>>>>

was not exepcting the 2toramble x Smitty collab. What a start to my weekend
i didn't know i need this collab until today
I need to hurry up and read these books. Hopefully Santa is nice to me this year😂
I sure can’t wait to come back and watch this video
🙏
This is the best crossover in TH-cam history
Oh yeah. People I love to watch on the same video. And you are talking about my favorite author and my favorite series. Dang. Winning
🙏
I could have listened for another 2 hours! Definitely need Smitty back on 🔥🔥
🙏
yesss pumped for this collab
literally the only two booktubers I’m subscribed to LOL
🤝
Let's gooooo! My favorite book people together!
I loved the conversation! It really got me hyped for book 5. Gonna finish my stormlight reread in November with RoW.
I personally love lift! I think she is supposed to be that light character, kinda like Lopen, and provides a good contrast to the more serious characters and stories that are happening.
Definitely!
First saw smitty on tiktok then started following his yt, glad he’s getting more popular now

I actually like them in reverse order. RoW feels like it was almost written specifically for me. And Way of Kings is one of my favorite books all time.
This episode was such a treat!
started Oathbringer yesterday speed running to catch up for Wind and truth release. Hoping for your review as soon as the book comes out

"Shallan was there" lol. Yeah, that sums up my feelings for her storyline up until the end of twok.
Great vid boys. Thanks for the Smitty intro.
NOOOOO WAY 😱🥳🤩 THIS IS THE COLLAB OF THE YEAR ❤❤❤❤❤ MY FAVS GATHERED 💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼♥️♥️🫡🫡🫡 amazing videoooo! Can’t wait for December 6th
😁😁
Everybody loves the "honor is dead" line from words of radiance but it isnt the best line in the book for me....
Adolin: "My father says I'm a better man than him. Unfortunately for you, he's wrong."
that line just goes hard when you know what happens next...
That line is awesome
In my mind the in universe 'Way of Kings' is just 'Meditations' by Marcus Aurelius
Oh hell yea
I'm catching up on the cosmere now. In the middle of way of kings. Idk if this has spoilers but I don't want to find out but I'll come back after RoW
I actually think Shallan is atleast top 2 favorite characters for me. I love seeing her deal with her trauma and over coming it.
Way of Kings > Words of Radiance >> Oathbringer >>>>>>>>> Rhythm of War
Just got into this channel you guys are great - Do more WoT reviews please! Love everything Sanderson you guys do too
Thanks so much 😁. We halted on the WOT stuff bc I (austin) am just not a fan of
Adding to “watch later” still haven’t got to ROW yet. Just know that it pains me greatly to have to postpone this.
We will see you after you finish 🫡. Journey before destination
OH THIS IS GONNA BE A GOOD ONE
smitty on the channel hell yeah
Words of Radiance.
Edgedancer
Oathbringer
Way of Kings
Rhythm of War

Haven't read Dawnshard and Sunlit man.
Cute matching outfit guys!

Thank you 😂

It's so great to find people who detest Lirin as much as I do.

The Kaladin POV in rhythm of war was enjoyable for me, def under-rated. Scurrying around the tower was so tense.
INSANE COLLAB
It could have been a true love triangle with a KaladinxAdolinxShallan threesome. Wasted oppertunity 😂 The Radiants desperately need more love in their lives and Adolin has so much to give
😭😭
Oathbringer is my favorite. The Way of Kings is the best.
I.... have never read a ..... Brandon Sanderson book ....Do with me as you wish ....
(want to try reading him hopefully in the near future after im done with first law and age of madness)
No Dragons on Roshar? Whos gonna tell em?
I couldn't believe Merlin started a pod cast.
Smitty has the Rizz!
This was a really good collab guys! Just to rile you guys up, I rank the books as
1. Words of Radiance
2. Way of Kings
3. Rhythm of War
4. Oathbring
As for the covers, my favorite is Rhythm of War
This did NOT teeter my totter
@@2ToRamble I think my opinions would rarely teeter your totter lmao, gonna join the patreon
@@olemartinstangenlillevik422 :D
Yeah that’s my exact rating too 😊
The fact that the Tien - Kaladin scene wasn't even mentioned is blasphemous.

@@2ToRamble still really good for sure! Excited for 5!

Another great moment
What is this, a crossover episode?
I have a question for Richard!
What is the program/app you use for audio books? Audible is taking away my copy of Warbreaker and LOTR…. So I want to use the app you use so I can actually KEEP my books that I BOUGHT.
If anyone could answer or upvote me that would be appreciated thank you!
There is a website that removes the drm from audible. Then it becomes an m4b file that you can use on any player
I will prep a google doc with info
Oh wow a fast reply, thank you so much!

The Way of Kings: A+

I have the same prediction for book 5 as smitty *fist bump
This is going to work as my Stormlight recap for book 5.😂 Listening to you guys got me all hyped up! Great conversation!!
Please do a Bloodsworn Podcast after Fury of The Gods.
👀
The bet that Kaladin lives or dies in book 5 is answered in The Sunlight Man is it not?
The Sunlit Man leaves it ambiguous.
sando says hes been planning the book 5 ending since 20+ years ago
READ THE SPEAR CUTS THROUGH WATER
Heard great things!
Seems like you guys misunderstood Shallan's ending in RoW lmao
I'm so upset about the prediction that Adolin dies... makes total sense...BUT HOW DARE YOU?!
