Have you had a viral video?

I just started my channel 2 months ago. I have just over 2,000 subscribers and 1 million views.
I do hope to one day have my channel monetized but I have other ideas on how to do that myself.
Thanks for your input because you reinforced several issues ive heard about and researched.
    The phone vs. camera debate.
    Long form videos vs. shorts.
    Thumbnails and lighting.
And one of the most important was being able to be yourself and just talk.
In the next month I'm hoping to start producing longer videos describing what my goals are here. Right now im just posting shorts of the dogs being dogs. Simple stuff. Not really into any real editing other than picking the time to start and stop the video and hopefully get a decent thumbnail. I don't add music or ask anyone to subscribe or like it or anything...just being a simpleton with my dogs.
I haven't seen any if you gun videos but i can understand why it went viral. People are interested in guns. Let alone kids and guns.
    Good for you!

Nice that’s amazing having that many subs that quick! You’re welcome! If you need input on anything else just reach out I love helping people with TH-cam. There’s content for everyone that’s for sure just keep that in mind. People just love watching other people. Thanks for the comment! I subscribed to your channel I’ll be waiting to watch some of your videos!

@@TrashyButClassy1776 thank you, I really appreciate that. All of that.
I try to post ten shorts every day, 2 every hour for five hours which happens to be their most watched hours according to their analytics.
I've had a dozen videos jump up to ten thousand views but then it gets pulled and it's like it's never seen again.
My plan is to just post shorts for the first couple of months and then start with longer videos to tell the story of Johnnyland.
I've created a search and rescue project and my goal is to help someone in their worst time of need. That's the reason for the two dogs.
It does gets time consuming between all of that I gotta work to survive and I take care of an elderly lady who is pretty awesome in here own right.
Speaking of old ladies I got one to go check on but I do appreciate your input and explaining your personal experience. I'll definitely be hollering atchya. 😂✌️

I’ve been doing shorts on shooting for about 3 months and I would say I’m doing pretty good and my buddy decided to do the same thing at the same time as me and what is strange to me is how my videos differ in performance.
His first video got 7k views and mine got 54, he just reached 700 subs when I have 188, he reached 100k views his first month and I haven’t reached there yet, his bad videos are my good and my videos always flatline on views I find it weird considering we have filmed each others videos and he usually uses my ideas and my guns because I have way more than him. Very strange, I am shy on camera and have yet to talk on video but I do plan on it and making an actual video besides shorts, but I’m worried the money and effort I’ll put into it will go to waste because that easily happens with my shorts but one day hopefully I will reach there, and I love shooting and nerding about guns so I’m gonna keep making videos no matter because I’m just recording my hobby.

That is weird. I’m going to check out your channel. Are you using the relevant tags to the video? There is so many factors that come into the TH-cam thing it’s ridiculous. How are your thumbnails? Engagement? Retention? You should consider comparing analytics between you and your buddies channel. Let me tell you something. I promise you the time and effort you spend recording yourself WILL NOT be wasted. Main reason being, you will notice your flaws and deficiencies in shooting and be able to measure what you suck at. That’s been the biggest things I’ve learned. Not at my videos perform great and I’m okay with it because it’s literally live documentation of what your doing at that point in time. Thanks for all the continuous support dude!

@@TrashyButClassy1776 I do use tags related to the video and so does he, my thumbnails I use just the best looking frame of the video usually, my engagement can be similar to his. Thanks for the advice! I hope to soon make full videos, I have ideas for videos but for now I’m gonna build up with shorts. Also I’m not sure if you saw the Taurus video but I’m not that dumb about guns! I’m sure you would know that but I can’t believe some people didn’t realize it was a joke! I am huge on gun safety I have even been a safety officer for my trap shooting team that had guests that almost never shot guns before because the last thing you’d want is something bad to happen when having fun! I look forward to your videos and hope your channel grows more!
