For anyone still confused, the Annihilation Gang's attack was real but dr. Ratio intervened.
- Duke Inferno infiltrated the Space Station using the Phase Flame Curio that went missing
- Duke Inferno's plan was to teleport the researchers (outer space to their death ) causing agitation and distrust within the space station
- Duke Inferno and the Phase Flame share attributes which is Teleportation
- Dr. Ratio got his hands on a spark of Phase Flame which he stole from Ruan Mei
- Dr. Ratio used the Phase Flame he stole to intercept Duke Inferno's plan and teleport the Researchers to a safe place instead
That's why Screwllum said that the incident did not match the Annihilation Gang's Modus Operandi because no one got hurt or died, to which he concluded "Saved by a third party" AKA ya boi Dr. Veritas Ratio.
Ratio didn't cause the attack but he essentially prolonged it by using it to teach a lesson to the researchers about not blindly worshipping Geniuses and to think for themselves.
Thanks for the breakdown. I honestly didn't think I'd end up liking his character all that much from what was shown in the earlier trailers & would pull for Ruan Mei instead. But their respective storylines completely flipped my thoughts and where I'll be spending my jade on these two.

I mean if the geniuses are this incompetent, the genius society sounds like a made-believe group at this point when most of ruan mei dialogues also sounded pretentious and stupid as fk. Btw they got almost 100 members but there are almost infinite planets/human popilation in star rail, the fact that 100 geniuses out of 1000000000000⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹basically near infinity, are this slow and useless, they didnt even went over where herta actually went or did in the meantime either, HSR writer really intentionally ruining the genius society's image to the ground with this one update.
They made ruan mei so boring, even arlan is a better character than ruan mei now that I think about it.
Both of them are literally playing 4D chess since the beginning of this crisis, pretty sure the real Herta was aware of what was happening as well.
From what I understood, Dr.Ratio don't like the way the geniuses from the genius society are idolized like they are.. he also thinks that those people who idolize the geniuses are especially stupid.
He not think they stupid because they idolize the genius
He think they are stupid because their intelligent really is “ stupid” compare to him and other genius
But he want to teach those “ stupid” is even if they are stupid, they still capable to handle their own life instead rely the genius
Yeah, in my opinion, I think he doesn't want everyone to completely rely on the genius society's brilliant minds and line of thinking. Because it might lead the people into doubting theirselves should trouble arrives when the genius society isn't around.
Dr. Ratio is partially disappointed with most of genius society members to keep their knowledge among themselves, but also grateful to them for increasing geniuses reputation and indirectly boosted Intelligentia Guild reputation as one of faction for geniuses.

Yeah, but he does have a pretty weird way of looking at people who aren't geniuses, like a human looking at a monkey or some sort. He's not an evil person, but he is probably someone you wouldn't want to hangout with.
I didn't expect Ratio ans Ruan Mei to be that cold and manipulative, but that's good. Morally grey characters are interesting and I'm glad we get Ratio for free, I like his gameplay

@@kyero8724 She's a neutral evil. Abandoned her creations, drugged innocent person, experimented and left dangerous experiment flying around without telling her superior. Also sent the person she drugged to fight a dangerous enemy (which is Emanator btw, which at best is planet destroyer and at worst Galaxy ender).
I just finished the whole thing earlier and I love his personality. Him, Screwllum, and Ruan Mei are very interesting. They're not completely good or evil. I kind of got a hint of his personality from the beginning but I was only proven right at the end.
And the trial Dr. Ratio was also pretty good! He's actually strong for a free 5 star. I'm so excited to get him soon!

Really interesting to see how these mad scientist or schoolars are morally grew where you understand the knowledge that they want to persue, but in doing so they have to use many variables which may conflict with moral values. Ratio and Screwlum believe in assuming the worst case scenario as hypothesis is still valid, or how Ruan Mei was expecting some hiccups during our trip down the station because a research without some sort of error is too good to be true.

It’s surpising how the trial Ratio has low Crit Dmg, Solid Crit rate, using a decent Dan Heng LC and yet it still makes the dmg took enough steroids to kill a giant elephant
dr. ratio's a dick for sure, but even if it's only to satisfy his own ideals, he has well-meaning intentions. a narcissist with a savior complex, essentially. his character is a lighter shade of grey, not too dissimilar from topaz.
ruan mei, however, is beyond help in my eyes. she holds no ill intent, but neither does she hold any morals. a sociopath. she cares little for how her actions may affect and endanger those around her. while i can't say i like her, i certainly can appreciate her as a character. they've been cooking with some of these characters lately
Dr. Ratio is shady but his motives are good.
Screwllum is a nice guy but he will not actively help someone out of good will and will instead be curious to just observe what will happen.
Both aren't bad but their methods are quite questionable like with Ruan Mei.
To be fair. He likely Ascertained that the actual danger was far lower than they thought once he realized the Annihilation gang was actually killing the researchers.

But had he been a villain, Screwllum would have really screwed it up by keeping everything he deduced to himself. and again, it only proves Dr. Ratio's claim that geniuses are only interested with their little experiments.

All the geniuses in this game are terrifying, they’re neither good or evil, but have their own twisted ambition. Ruanmei and Ratio makes Herta look normal tbh.
Dr ratio is the true genius the way he both saved and taught the researchers a lesson to look out for themselves was just great, I was anyways going to pull for him even before we got to know he would be free because I liked his character design love him

Nah those are for the revealed Penacony casts like Acheron, Robin, or even Sunday.
Usually, if we follow Genshin pattern of patch, we would get out of the current story patch in 2.4 like how Genshin got Lantern Rite for 4.4

From what I heard Sam and either Acheron or Adventurine would be added in 2.1
As for 2.2 I don’t know for certain, some say Adventurine if he doesn’t release in 2.1, some say Boothill, maybe Screwllum could release in 2.2 but we just don’t know

My favourite part has to be Ruan Mei. A very thought provoking and, frankly, pretty character

For those struggling with that boss fight just put bronya and check your skill points for your sustain character (preservation or abundance)then don’t try to kill the monster or attack the main when it has shield only attack it when there’s no shield shape around it that’s why y’all have to read the enemy skill first before fighting

Really, I just got Bronya last banner to SW, looks like it's a right decision that I build her up since then. Although I'm not on the quest for now, this will be helpful when the time comes.... Thanks.

I haven't played the game at all vut have bits of knowledge from all of the lore, but in my own guess, i feel like herta's far beyond any of them in terms of knowledge, basically she's playing 5d chess while these geniuses are on 4d
Yeah, she did. She let ruan mei do what she want. She let sw, stellaron hunter attack her space station. There are something wrong with her station but she left it. She know what she does.
I excited to see her real form.
Herta created universe even the god, so a ship hasnt any worth in comparison.

If you have hanya and trailblaze fire it will help as well as a good healer.
Hanya and big pp heals. Lynx, Huhuo and Luocha will carry you if you play it correctly. Add to it a strong dps and don’t attack the shield if you’re not sure you can withstand the incoming damage.
You should bring one tank either fu xuan or gappie
I use a hyper carry Argenti. And that usually does the trick. It's him as DPS, tingyun, Luocha and either Bronya or as some said Hanya. Other healers work fine if you don't have Luocha, my Linx works just fine too and if you don't have Argenti then I think maybe Trailblazer can work.
So I’m happy we getting dr ratio and about ruan mei I’m conflicted cuz I want sparkle and black swan and Acheron I want all ok 😭

I think Dr. Ratio sealed the gang, but still pretend something happened.
Think of Ratio as a strict thesis advisor, he's trying to inspire the researchers on the space station to think independently and pursue their own research/ambition. He hates to see these researchers (the mundanes), who have their own potential, blindly assist/follow the members of GS (the divines). As he asserts, an average life is still a life worth living.
Duke Inferno (the Annihilation Gang) did attack the space station. Dr Ratio was aware of it and he moved quickly to save the victims so they don't get killed, but he wanted the space station's people to use their brains to solve the problems because he is unwilling to provide just a direct answer, he wants them to understand the step-by-step process. Basically he wants them to do some problem-solving on their own.
No the gang is there but Ratio hijack their coordinates and piggyback the entire scheme
Hmm im maybe wrong, from what i see is the duke inferno atk onto Herta puppet is real (and was not saved by ratio) with the video on inferno is real too. Except Others researcher missing are orchestrated by ratio.

The game should make every characters have they own personality and characteristics not just people called "not evil and not villain" many people consumption all the characters should be like genshin 😂 stay neutral and then who's the bad guys? Suddenly copium argument like spoiled brats
Overall the story for this version satisfy me because we can see not every interactions with new members is always friendly and yet with agenda.
Except he wasn't a Villain here. Dr. Ratio. He was literally the reason those researchers were still alive despite Screwllum literally saying The Annihilation gang would have killed them.
All he wanted was to cure their foolishness. A Life of the less gifted is still a Life worth living. He literally wants to get them out of there blind worship of Geniuses and begin to be more independent. (Because it's not like Herta Space station is filled with more Herta Superfans than actual Researchers)
He seems more... lawful good with his Strictness and his values. He considers "foolishness" an unforgivable sin for him.

Both Genshin and HSR don’t have definite villians, just people with different motives though in Genshin it’s highly assumed Celestia is the villian, in HSR the story is just kicking up and right now it’s just between the different Aeons and their followers.
The characters in 1.6 are interesting though because they’re morally grey, they follow their own motives and their own morals not caring about the ethics of anything using people as pawns to use

On the other hand, I do like Ruan Mei's personality and all, if she doesn't do anything work-related. For god sake, stop making critters if you can't take care of them, woman.
What's curious is that you don't like Dr Ratio despite having good intentions and if Ruan Mei even though he has bad intentions just to satisfy his curiosity about things (like creating an emanator that can destroy planets and send it to the protagonist) 😆

Argenti makes this fight last less than a minute for me and he's at e0. Tingyun, Bronya(can probably replace her with ruan mei or some other buffer) and a healer(mine is Luocha since I like his added life steal, atk buff and auto heal)is enough to clear it.

If you have destruction trailblazer, tingyun, a decent healer (Linx is free now after a certain mission I think and she's pretty good) and maybe a secondary DPS or support you should be good. Depends on what you roll or own and your level at the moment tho since i think it's definitely in the 50's-60's or so in level when you first fight it.
