Would you mind sharing the mat you purchased for the top of your desk. I did the same thing for my desk, ordered a dining table. I ordered unfinished so I could paint the bottom white and stain the top. After all that work I don't want to ruin the top. A mat is a great idea. I was pricing a glass topper but that is pricey.
