I set my vcr and alarm for 3 am to watch this, and oh god how I loved it. max q was ten times better than anything michael was able to do with INXS; he got so much sabotage from the band and managers for this project, and I hate them for it.
I mean, I love it . But I can't help feel a little disappointed in the way they kinda dismissed The Cure. It was a bit like they were too cool for the questions and were a bit affected. I just would have enjoyed Max Q reflecting on indie bands, not just being aloof.
Michael did several projects outside of INXS and they all failed. He got boxed in during the run of KICK as being just eye candy. @@jh4guythitgijvthftjtnhr

Well, on the other hand, they seemed to be just being honest about it.
Max Q was subpar because Michael was too shy to work with top-quality musicians.
max q was not subpar. it was fucking incredible!
