Totally agree. The main problem is lack of art direction. When it comes to graphics, most just try to emulate the latest graphics trend. Take Raji for example, they have an unique art style, even if they make the game in 2d, it will still look great.
yeah, and don't follow the trend. Raji is unique, beautiful, and fun. Indian Dev should focus more on making innovative indie games rather than going for an AAA game for now. Even in the outside world, most AAA games are not fun anymore like back in days, and indie games like Subnautica, Undertale, Little Nightmare, and even Minecraft are fun. Same as Raji is fun. Just make few one game like these with new incredible ideas and if not India but world will surely follow us for sure. Take example Only Up is all about ideas.

They recently shifted to Unreal 5. First of all. If someone is creating a realistic game so the main thing they focus first is on the gameplay and making the environment. Implementing Good Graphics is not an issue specially after the release of Unreal Engine 5. Even you have seen Modders make some ultra realistic graphic packs in a couple of weeks. The gameplay they are showing is not even a Beta. That's a pre alpha stage. Remember when GTA 6 gameplay was leaked it was looking like GTA 5 because it was in the earliest stage of development. They are still working on the game and you can't judge a game in its earliest stage. Atleast wait for the beta gameplay and then we can judge.

I want to clarify a fact I don't know why they shifted their engine from unreal engine 4 to ue5 cause if you see the first gameplay reveal of Mumbai gullies it looked miles better. Matter of fact, the gameplay at that time was linear levels so I can clearly see now this trailer is supposed to showcase the open world factor of Mumbai gullies so, that might be the reason of graphical downgrade but I am pretty sure they are capable of making good graphics cause if you think about it it is a pre release footage(pre-alpha maybe) and now maybe they after completing the coding and actual structure of the game they go back to the fidelity department cause power of Ue5 is just amazing if utilised well enough....but I am a little disappointed in the gameplay of Mumbai gullies everything looks like a mobile game in aspect of gameplay and the game is going to launch this year so I don't think they will have time to develop that aspect of the game... Mumbai gullies is a AA game not a AAA title btw so comparing with them will be a bit much I think they should take more time and increase their budgets so that the final product feels good rather than looks good
UE5 because old gen consoles is discontinued for FPS
Thank you for the feedback. The reason to shift to UE5 is from many technical grounds, porting to consoles require us to be updated with latest SDKs and older versions get deprecated. It’s still not a final build so many many improvements pending. Have noted the points mentioned. We shall work on it

I think the best example of "bad graphics but good gameplay" is battlebit remastered, that game is a masterpiece and it was only made by 3 people.

I agree with you except for one single thing you said. You said that Sekiro has an average story , and graphics looks average. I strongly disagree. You see Sekiro has a non-linear storytelling, and most of its story is conveyed through Items, Dialogues, Gameplay and World Design. For example, the Guardian Ape resurrection is not explained , but if you inspect further, you can find that Senpou Monks did experiments for achieving immortality, and serpents are immortal beings according to Japanese Mythology. You can even see statues with centipedes attacking you at Senpou Temple, and there's a hidden area where a main statue is seen surrounded by serpeants. It's a classic example of FromSoft Way of storytelling.

I also disagree with what he said about Death Stranding. that game was never designed as a action oriented title, it's gameplay is not boring, it's slow style is meant to be play with patience mind and it's one of the few games where it challenges the player to experience the exact trouble that the character is facing.. the more you'll play Death Stranding, the more you'll realize it's greatness

Greetings, regarding the graphics of the game. We shouldn't forget that the games you mentioned with better graphics on a lesser budget follow a linear story, while mumbai gullies is open world and even tho it would also in a sense follow a linear story, making a game open world and adding graphics to every little thing in the game is pretty tiring, and that also gives us alot of bugs to fix.

Nice Vid but Death Stranding isn't supposed to be a gun focused game, It's supposed to be a strand type game (walking simulator) which is both interesting and frustating at the same time. For me the story and the background music shadowed the shortcomings of the game.

Fears of Fathom never get as much attention compared to so called “garbage games” like Mumbai gallies” who people who don’t know fears of fathom was made by I am sure a a very small crew and majorly just one guy, and that game got so popular in western horror communities quickly where streamers like xqc and TH-camrs like markiplier played it and it was damn famous and even won awards and yet everyone ignored that masterpiece.
It’s a shame that our own community doesn’t actually support good developers but rather support the so called “influencers” who are just eating all the funded money and using as less possible funds on the actual game itself,
It’s same as politicians who is eating all our tax money, yet people are quick to shit on politicians but not on these so called influencers. It actually makes me sad to see how far behind Indian gaming community actually is, and as a country with such large population I expect atleast some people to create something big that can compete in the world market of gaming. But I think it’ll always be a dream atleast for the next 5-10 years until Indians actually realise how shit our own so called influencer developers treating us with lies and bad games and eating up all the funded money by the blind supporters.

It doesn't matter about engine. They can made even in ue4 as some games were also developing in ue4 after long release of ue5. Like arkham knight that was also in ue4. But it's their choice we can do nothing rather just wait until December.

I am 17 years old I used to play gta vice city , gta san those old games from my childhood(when i was 6 or 7 years old till new pc), till 2019 i didnt knew that games with such graphics like real life existed, i use to play mobile games. then one day my big brother showed me gta V on youtube, i was shocked. this is a movie i said. then i started researching and got introduced with the gaming world. i had a crappy pc from 2008. then i bought a pc during 2022, and started playing a lot of games like RDR2(Favourite), GTA V, Last Of Us, fifa games, minecraft, valo etc.

Real baat hai hamare yaha ke mobile players ko actually pc games ka 'G' bhi nahi pata, sirf ek game ya do gane ke piche pagal hue padhe hai kyu ke unka favourite streamer ya content creator wo khelta hai. Mujhe personally Sekiro and The Witcher 3 dono hi bohot pasand hai. Sekiro ka gameplay, lore and bosses. And Witcher 3 ka world, characters, story and even jo side quests wo bhi kafi well written hai and repetitive nahi lagte.

Mumbai Gullies aside, what you said about the Indian gaming community is absolutely true. Its pretty disappointing people are playing games like free fire and stuff its kinda sad. They should be playing story driven games instead of chasing for dopamine after every kill.

That's why developers don't reveal anything about game in developing stage. graphics final quality always comes at final stage of the development. I have seen footage and photos of gta 5 and horizon zero dawn 's beta, they have also looked terrible. Even in my experience i have played alpha of apexmobile graphics looked terrible that time and after 15 days they launched beta with so much better graphics. I think graphics can be judged at final trailer only.
For now we can tell them about other things in game cause we can clearly see they have not worked on characters and npc model yet.i think first 2 clip they showed after character intros are near to final graphics quality. For me most important thing in open world game is driving mechanism cause most of the time you are driving in the game i hope they make it like gta 4 style.

The game is too ambitious for an AAA studio, let alone an india studio in India (a country where the video game industry is still in its early stages).

We criticised adipurush because the film industry is established for over a half of decade but the gaming industry has just now started and theres not big fundings so if we could just ignore the graphics and have less expectations and just support the game industry at its initial stages only so that india can also make big AAA games

criticism is a major driving force to achieve good results. never stop criticizing. And being late to the scene is not an excuse, those who came before had a much harder time. They had to innovate, make genres from scratch. Developers of Gran Turismo literally lived in their office on and off for years before releasing the game, and as a result they gave birth to the whole car-rpg genre and gt series is going strong to this day. our devs just need to give 50% of that effort to make a decent game. Life is much more easier now, internet has a ton of resources and you dont need to code 3d softwares and game engines from scratch anymore. I could go on, but i'd stop here, hope you understood my point. It's alright to criticize, as long as it's constructive, and warranted. It definitely is warranted here. tons of Indian games profit from patriotism, it needs to stop, we need to criticize the hell out of these studios, and they need to actually commit 100% of their life into this if they want to do something for the gaming scene.

You should point out that graphics are not good so that they can improve but there's a limit to how much they can improve with so little money. I would play the game if it has GTA 4(more the better) like graphics and no bugs and a decent gameplay. I would pay to play Mumbai gullies if it matches all the criteria rather than spending money on watchdog series or non Rockstar games.
@@rishabh6051 not wrong but it's completely fine to have high expectations and underperform. you'll underperform even if you have lesser expectations and goals. so it's better to have high expectations and meet a decent baseline. it's just how it works. we dont want the game to compete with latest gen AAA games, but it needs to be decent. It needs to fit the style it's aiming for, which it isn't. we have too many people sympathising for these studios, they underperform way below a decent baseline and still sell a ton of copies. the people who buy a lot arent much active online, nor will you find them here. the ones who have a voice, people like us, need to do the criticising. so that people who actually buy the game a lot, who arent much active online, get a decent product
At the end it boils down to having normal expectations for this situation because if you won't buy the game by competing with the current gen game then the Indian market will never grow.
The correct expectations should be high and realistically achievable because if you complete this game with ubisoft,rockstar,Activision games then it will surely not earn enough money.

Well i think weather it is good or bad it will depend upon the actual gameplay footage. Current gameplay does not quality as a game they are purely just bad prototypes. Gameeon studio doesn't have a great budget so the game will be releasing soon is totally dependent on investors. If theu fail to raise investors then we dont think it will be released according to players expectations bcoz great games require huge funding.
