I started reading the Bible based on what Skip said that I if you read 12 minutes a day, you'll finish in a year. As I read I listen to Skips videos. I'm in numbers right now and Genises was the best book I've read along with East of Eden which, interestingly, is based on the first book of the Bible. Leviticus was very difficult and Numbers is also. But my life has transformed as a result of studying the Bible. Thanks to Skip and Calvery Church. I live in Denver and haven't found anything like what you have in Albuquerque.

I have heard over and over that I should be studying and digging deep in the Word on my own, but your teaching is such a blessing. God has blessed you and anointed your teaching, and I get so much more than on my own. I am 60, but your teaching reminds me of the excitement I had in college when the gifted professor would expound on a novel (English major) and my mind would suddenly open and make connections I had not gotten in my solitary reading. Frankly, I have really struggled to love the Word and reading it and felt so guilty about that, but you excite me about it. I thank God for leading me here, and I can think of no greater compliment for a pastor than teaching in such a way that your knowledge and enthusiasm invigorates students of the Word. Thank you!
